Someone modified their HHKB in to Bluetooth modeĀ  brows.gif
Google it.

Modding a IBM model M should be the easiest wireless mod among mech kb.

You basically just need a controller from a capalang old Logitech board and wire them onto a Model M you are good to go.

Was wondering ...

Is there such thing as wireless mechanical keyboards?

hmm.gif
*
Neo Zelia 87(a China board) and some more China brand had made several wireless mech kb.

iOne also do made one wireless board b4 IIRC.

Filco had made some wireless board b4, but they gone EOLed(+ it isn't from Costar).

Just another question as a newbie to mechanical keyboard.

Is mechanical keyboard useful in gaming?

Does it help? Or doesn't help but doesn't affect?

Any blue switch user here find it good in gaming?
*
Useful for gaming? Subjective I will say.

If your previous kb really shity or ghosting + uncomfortable to use on, it will sure help.

In short, mech kb make you more comfort when typing, improve your typing(using of keyboard) experience.

Personally, I don't really like blue for gaming or fast paces double tapping(due to certain limits the switch had), but it isn't going to affect you much. If you tried and didn't notice/care bout it, then there isn't anything wrong for going blue switch.

There are even worse. Those transparent or triple shot keys are near to priceless, even Darth Vader cost 100USD last time.

In short, CC keys are priceless, and everyone of them is "precious" to their owner(insert golummyprecious.jpg).

The only thing good bout it is probably it cost a little(compare to the overall price) to ship to you... rolleyes.gif
CC keys are probably the most expensive plastic after those used in plastic surgeries in Korea, TROLOLOL...

Heavy arm sells a it for RM20. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=11&t=2142065
Ctrl+F "Key Puller"

Btw, new here. And my the backspace on my Rosewill RK9000 Brown just died after 10 days. Going for RMA. T.T
Anyone got any idea why this happened?
*
Can explain more on how it is "dead"?

I mean is the switch still normal, without any oddity in sound?

I assume this is the case for "missed" soldering for the switch, an acknowledged QC failure for Rosewill...

If you don't want to waste your warranty, RMA is the way to go.

I still feel the tactile feel of the brown switches. But the actuation seems lighter than other keys. Also higher pitched when I bottom it out.

I did Google for answers and a lot of posts from GeekHack said it was soldering problems. But I purchased this on the 8th of September, man. Died dam fast.

Initial signs before death was unresponsiveness. And I thought my program was lagging when I was trying to backspace.
*
Yup, most cases I read about are "sudden death". They are working at first place but died by it own later. hmm.gif

Really not cool, Rosewill! vmad.gif Going to RMA for "1 week".
My friends and I bought 6 RK-9000's (2 browns, 4 blues), so we'll see over time how good their QC really is. Lol.
*
If possible, I will request the permission to open up the keyboard to check for any electrical defects. Better safe than it gone down after warranty period, LOL...

That is a metal plate keyboard?
If yes, kinda pointless because it will be too heavy to bring around with a laptop sad.gif.

Was hoping something like the Poker or the Race. Wonder is there any mod to change the Poker/Race into a wireless kb hmm.gif
*
nope, PCB mounted like poker/race did.
Infact it is probably the only PCB mounted tkl out there.

i wanted brown switch.. I tested filco myself, i really love the feeling.. but the ducky shine 2 customization of led backlit really caught my eye..

then i do more research that the filco have better stabilizer than the ducky shine 2 which I totally have no idea what are they talking about

thing is my budget is suit both of the kb..

I'm more to a gamer myself and redditors/forumers..
*
go try ducky out to see which one you like more. No meaning spend over RM400 yet you don't like it.

A more proper wire may solve squeky problem(if any).

So in short HPE is a good board(for its price)?

From there, I tracked back to the China forum and realized that my dream board had released. Time to poke another hole in my wallet.

I dont need a backlit tho...not finding it usefull for myself as i am always lights on ^^

It should be OK also.

Just that it is more to a normal simple board than a "gaming board" like CM Storm QFR.
