sweat.... I was lost in all those cute cat video while searching for proof,
but I found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyan_Cat

the part that mention the song:

The original version of the song "Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya!" was uploaded by user "daniwell"[4] to the Japanese video site Nico Nico Douga on July 25, 2010.[5] The song features the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku (初音ミク?). The Japanese word for the sound cats make, "nyā" (にゃ?), is the equivalent of the English language word "meow".

and bla bla bla ...

hope this is enough as proof for you...

Hmm, thanks. It sounds pretty legit.

I wanted to ask which keyboard is better?

Steelseries 6Gv2 or the filco majestouch black switch? both quite good and steelseries is like Rm50 cheaper than the filco.. need recommendation, both almost same..

main use for gaming~
*
Most ppl here may probably suggesting Filco, as it is one of the top standard in Mechanical KB.

For SS6G/7G, it is also having quite reputable built quality(truck test).

But all in all, Filco so have some slight "advantage" over SS6G, namely:
1. Standard layout(SS6G is having a different than common layout for "?" and right shift).
2. Filco using Costar style stabiliser(more "natural" or softer in the feel) while SS is Cherry style(some ppl don't like its feel).
3. More popular spacebar stems spacing(easier to find replacement)

Juz get filco bro coz u can customize the keycaps anytime thus shud preventint u gettin bored over the kb. Some more agree wif wat human 10 says costar stabilizer indeed much better than cherrys one nod.gif
*
But the case is different for older/vintage keyboards.
As kaiserreich mentioned, the Cherry Style stabiliser on old WYSE is even feel better than Costar one(and those koreans kb fanatics also having the same thought).

How to determine the stabilizers on a keyboard. I tried Google but its so confusing and I don't see much difference.

Keycool 87 uses what stabilizers?
*
Costar "style"(not made by Costar, and also I don't think this style of stabiliser is patented by Costar, just that no other name to call it and Costar made kbs are covering most population among all mech kbs which using that style of stabiliser)

In Chinese, it is named "平衡杆".

For other boards(Cherry, Ducky, Leopold, SS7G/6G and so on), it is using the Cherry style of stabiliser. Called "卫星軸"

Captured with lousy phone  doh.gif

Replied you in my previous post, keycool(mostly, except some earlier model which didn't) using the wire style - 平衡杆.

Yar, those boards are either Costar OEM(means in short is Filco's brothers) or Filco clones(designed base on Filco), so they use the wire style. But do note that not all wire style is having the same "specs" or dimension(means not 100% interchangeable everytime). Razer BWU is a good example. iOne made board is having a different dimension in the wire bent/size.

I just call them wire stabilizers. They are available everywhere. Even in cheapass logitechs.

But Cherry stabiliser also got wire leh, how? whistling.gif

Now regret because I cannot perform plastic surgery.
*
Whats wrong with Keycool? It serve all other KBs can serve at a price below RM200.

The only flaw is the different spacebar standard(which also shared by Leopold what...). Somemore there is lots of mech kbs out there which using weird length of spacebar, and they will face even harder time/forever to find a replacement for it...

I've personally tested myself of both filco and SS...
Filco more better responsive less pressure needed.. like you say more natural
while SS a bit more mushy, like there is a clay underneath it but feel like a more solid feel to it..

But I think will choose the filco namely many recommentation.. this is my first mechanical keyboard.. hope I like it than the normal lycosa~

thx for the recommendation and the explanation..  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif
*
LOL lycosa, not only being "booo" by us here but also by most owners. I guess it serve nothing but bling bling.

BTW bro, had you made up your mind that MX Black is your way to go? Not thinking of other types of switch?

I've tested my friend's CM QFR(for about 1 week, we swapped) it feels more solid. the space bar/shift is not so shaky compared to KC. I never tried a Filco before. Maybe its just me feeling things or thinking too much. doh.gif

BTW it cost around RM230 plus shipping.

Not noisy like che blue
but got very strong feeling in difference compare to membrane kboard...
and good reputation brand?
*
Go for Rosewill then. It is among the cheapest locally available choices and fit in your budget well.

Rosewill doesn't had a good reputation but it had an OEM with a good reputation, which promised you a good + solid built quality. With the right QC, I believe it can rival Filco(basically they came from the same "mother").

Tech-Dynamic, the rosewill singapore Distributor,

The first batch of rk9000 had an issue with the usb port coming loose. It's been fixed already and you shouldn't be facing these issues anymore with units available in retail stores now.

any truth in it?

http://forums.vr-zone.com/hardware-depot/1...yboards-15.html
Tech-Dynamic replys,

For RK9000 updated USB, you can check the serial number of the unit.

eg. serial number:
(product type) - (model) - (dateyear) - (serial)
2320-1044-0811-01152
2320-1044-0512-01111

those made in year 2012 have no usb issues
so the units with 0512 (may 2012) will have no such problem.
anybody can confirm this?

ohyea.
*
As what I read up b4, some Rosewill boards are having failed QC. That mean they missed on some soldering, which then cause the keyboard to stop/not functioning.

I will say it is more of a QC issues than built quality issues.

BTW, there is always warranty out there.

Corsair K90? yaoming.jpg

I am kidding. Don't ever buy that, the rubber dome really ruined the whole board.

Maybe you can go for KBT Race? Or maybe CM Storm Trigger.

ducky shine 2 here
*
It is hard to find suitable keycaps for backlit keyboard, for which most backlit keycaps are coated, which mean they are subjected to worn out as you use.

If you can touch type, may be you can go for light color blank(non-printed) POM/PBT keycaps, they sure looks good with or without backlit. KBC "Jelly POM" may be ideal for some eye-candy.

Didn't know mechanical keyboard could be so expensive.

Well, I don't know what to expect ... rm 200/300?

I don't know lol  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  but I tried my friend's blue switch.

I gotta admit ... I like the clicky-ness hahahaha.

Not sure bout the other switches yet though.

Those board he suggested cost over RM1.5k, and not even locally available.

List out your budget or any particular requirement such as size , KRO or bling bling(of course the less the easier for us to suggest) and we will see if any KB fit in.

My budget's around rm300 range.

I'm quite flexible on my budget but of course the keyboard must be worth it tongue.gif

Well ... Normal/ Standard size? the usual? Full size keyboard (104 key)...

Don't quite like tenkeyless though ... haha but heard good reviews of it.

What's KRO .... rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

I'm assuming bling bling is .. customized keycaps?
*
Hmm, give Rosewill a try then. It should be a good board if it is defectless out of the board.

Or you simply want complete peace of mind, just go for Filco(or HHKB, LOL...).

KRO mean the maximum number of keys that can be pressed down and register at a time.

Bling bling mean unnecessary appearance, can be backlit, keycaps or keyboard design.

keycool  hmm.gif

Never heard before ... will do some research on it lol.
*
I will preferably suggest the RK9000 more than RK9100 as RK9000 is known to be made of Costar(the same manufacturer who made Filco).

For RK9100, it may be a good choice too, not really sure as it is quite new to the market and no much details/reviews on it yet.

Ninja = sideprinted in other context. You can find such replacement keys from Taobao if you want.

Keycool is a China brand, you probably never(and not going to) heard it b4. It offer solid qualities and more features at a cheaper price.
