If you say why not,
then if there is one reason I would say no is that the spacebar is almost irreplaceable!
Other than that, Leopold is a very good keyboard.
I like the detachable USB cable, that even a Realforce do not have.

this this i upvote. the spacebar is irreplaceable, i still havent found the perfect keyboard yet, so far i liked ducky and das only.. used cm trigger for a week and disliked it already, at least leopold lasted a month.

cm trigger, ducky and leopold has detachable usb.

As convenient at is it, is there a reason why Realforce and Filco choose not to have detachable cables?

So that you can use it to sling around and hit people.

So you wont lost an expensive cable?

All type detachable or not wud do as long the cable not easily broke But I guess detachable hv more advantage due we can replace it when sumtin happened to the stock one

Oh ok..yeah its kinda suck if the space bar affect major keycaps modding...btw kaysa do u know any news regarding sanctuary keycaps? how the progress? Btw if leopold thus limit us to mod, I will get FIlco tkl instead..

Does the audio cables transfer the same thing? Hmm never thought of that.

Not so sure but afaik most of the high speed or high end usb audio cable are using pure copper n silver as the inside wire material which give blazing fast input transfer oso reduce resistance...but I don know if it can effect keyboard performance or do kb really need high speed usb cable?

It's a design consideration.

You should ask 90% of the keyboard manufacturers why they don't choose to have detachable cables.

For one thing, before you get into this hobby, you'd only have 1 keyboard. Why would you want a keyboard that can be detached easily if you have a keyboard? Take in mind 99% of the people out there use whatever they have on their laptop/office desk etc. They wouldn't want to bring their keyboards to work.

Then you have those people who bring their aircraft carrier logitechs to CC.

Together, we are the 1%. 1% might be a too high percentage.

Anyone here using CM Storm Trigger with Cherry MX　Red Switches?

Or may be they just simply too lazy/unwilling to invest more money for a new mold for new chasis.

I juz a lil bit agree at what human10 said hehe but still we don know what the true reason is haha...btw bro u r using keycool right now right? how the build quality? sturdiness, heavy? plan to buy a kb for modding purpose but hopefully not getting the xpensive one like filco or leopold and ur keycool kb price seem reasonable...

As i never used other brands before, i am very satisfied with it. Maybe have'nt been poisoned by others YET. weighs about 1kg. They changed quite abit from the previous keycool87. The direction keycaps is not that ugly printed, and the keyboard stand is rubberized so it wont slip even when u tilt. the rubber feet is also larger. one thing i dont like is the 'keycool' printed on the spacebar!! and i dont dare to change it cos i may break it LOL. I talked too much =P

It isn't too easy to break the spacebar actually.

2nd, practice make perfect.

BTW, if you feel like your spacebar is working perfectly smooth/squeakless, then I suggest you better don't touch(remove) it.
