If your laptop is still under warranty and u don't want to mess with the proc/board, better send it to the service center and let them do it.

I had the same issue. I just brought it to a laptop store and told them I want a maintenance for dust-removal and replace the thermal paste. It works better now but I think I also will eventually move on to desktop

Yeah, they only bring 1 variation of DV6-7000 series before and now its gone. Only have M6 now in Malaysia HP Store.

Hi Acid, my Pavilion DV6-6114TX was operating without too much problems for 2 and a half years plus and just recently I discovered my Bluetooth cannot work when I tried to send a file popping up an error stating that "Bluetooth device not found".

Besides that I also noticed that the icon had gone missing from my taskbar. So I pressed customize taskbar and the Bluetooth icon is not there either.

Apart from that, Besides "Bluetooth Devices" missing in the control panel's "Devices & Printers" which was eventually there before I noticed this problem, I also noticed when I press the wireless sign on my keyboard to switch off all wireless, then after that I switch it back on, there is a message showing "USB Device Not Recognized". I suspect it is somehow related to the Bluetooth as I know switching off the wireless on the keyboard shuts Bluetooth and WiFi off together.

Besides that there is also a yellow waning sign in my device manager which was the unrecognised USB device mentioned earlier.

Plus, as you can see in the photo below, there is no signs of any Bluetooth adapter found in my computer.

So I tried to reinstall the Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth driver (Version: 6.2.0.6300) from "HP Recovery Manager" but it didn't seemed to work. However, when I searched for Bluetooth in the "Start" search bar, the program is still there, so when I open the file location and pressed on the program no respond at all.

Hi Guys, need some emergency help here.
I just noticed that my hpdv6's cooling fan is nt working anymore. The screen goes blank suddenly sometimes. Anyone is helpful enough to let me know where can I fix or replace the fan and roughly how much will it cost. And how long does the repair take. Your help is really appreciated.

Can you check the HardwareIds? Right click Properties on the Unknown hardware, select Details tab and in drop down menu select HardwareIds.

No more warranty? I have no idea where you can repair it.. maybe you can give HP SC a call and quote the repair cost.

As you can see in the picture below there it states "USB\UNKNOWN"

Good evening pal,here is my little review based on my 1 year usage.I'm having a Singapore set HP Dv6-6c10tx,its almost a year old now ,everything just fine besides the key"H" is half dropping off.
Im sorry to tell this laptop its too hot for gaming stuff(even sometimes only watch movie with hp coolsense always on). It just not feeling comfortable with the palm rest area.Usually i use it with my targus cooler pad(normal one).

why so expensive? I extended to 3 years care pack for only RM149 last time. Some of us even managed to get it below RM100.

my warranty is ended next month.And there is a notification pop up on my windows and ask if i would like to extend the warranty.I click the link and it leads me to this page.

The cheapest is Rm210 apparently.But as far as i remember the care pack wasn't that expensive that time.
