Sometimes it's very hot.
But not until it overheats and force shut down.

If you close them all, will the CPU usage drop <5%? What is the temp?

I guess your CPU got throttled, that's why gaming performance dropped and no force shutdown.

After I installed the DSE, my wallpaper bottom right corner appears with "Test Mode Windows 8 Pro Build 9200", is that normal?

Keep trying to uninstall and install using the catalyst install manager (from Leshcat 12.9), however, it's still not functioning.

From what I see from device manager, the driver still remain at 8.97.10.6, (Microsoft corporation - WDDM v1.20)

arghhh... so sad, can't play game

Can share how you reinstall the driver please, as well as the download link for the official driver (as I think I might get the wrong driver).

Yes, it will show watermark after installing DSE.

Try manually install the Leshcat 12.9 driver thru Device Manager. I did that on 12.7 beta with Win8 RC.

i have the same prob as Joonwei..

My laptop fan running very fast n i can hear it. I just dissamble n clean the fan, but the temp still rise..

i dunt have any idea wat to do rite now.

my gaming performance totally drop.. i cant play a single game wihout lagging..

ARGGH!!!

Added on November 3, 2012, 6:35 pmI'm planning to buy an air duster. Gonna open up the back panel and try spraying it from there. Apparently my friend told me there's probably too much dust in the vents area.
I will see if it works.

Maybe both of you can give HP a call and tell them you want to clean and reapply thermal paste for your laptop yourself.. ask permission from them so it won't void the warranty. HP US allow their user to do that.. not sure about other country.

I would like to ask.. Why my laptop get hotter faster??

When first start, the temp is ok but after use it or let it for few minutes, the fan spins really fast n the temp rises really fast..

I just clean the fan a few days ago.. Hope bro acid can suggest me some way to overcome this prob.. Thanx bro
