anybody upgraded their laptop to win 8 edi ?


i jz downloaded the new win 8 driver for 6770M on 6001TX

do i need to uninstall the previous driver or jz install on top of it ?


it's the official release not the reference driver from AMD

anybody have problem installing the catalyst driver into win 8?

i double clicked the installer .exe but after waiting for a long time it just won't start, nothing pops out


[EDIT] i found the solution. the cause is AVAST ANTIVIRUS. disable it and your installer will run perfectly. applies to other programs which refuse to run as well

i will upload a video soon on windows 8 booting up on DV6-6001TX, 5400rpm HDD

here's the video. everything on my DV6-6001TX is unmodded, hardware wise

wanna ask how should i reformat my DV6-6001TX ? want to make it like new but with windows 8 instead of windows 7

usually i'm fine on my own when it comes to stuff like this for desktop.... but for laptop i dare not take chances so wanna ask for pros opinion here first

just to be sure....

so here's what i need

i) the drivers required for the laptop

ii) a windows 8 bootable usb drive


so i just boot from my usb and select clean install / reformat from there, after everything is done i just proceed with drivers installation ?
