Oops sorry for the misinterpret, I'm not too sure the next upgrade include AKU2 or not. But what I know is there might release the new ROM end of this month or begaining of next month. The current JAMin ROM that I'm using is from iMate, it solved the missing SD card and other problem like the auto soft reset without reason.

Below are the details of the JAMin ROM

Latest Release details:
The main improvements from the original Operating System, are:
Microsoft(tm) Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP):
Addition of the MSFP allowing Direct Push email, remote device wiping, GPRS data compression, security policy enforcement and integrated Global Address List Lookup for customers using a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 2. Note that Push email is only supported over GPRS.

Communication Manager
Communications Manager has been updated to allow current data services to be stopped, Direct Push email to be started/stopped using a single button press, and flight mode to be switched on/off.

Use google to search the latest download of the JAMin ROM, I too got it from google search. But you better do your research first, cause if not your 818 Pro will become an expensive paperweight

the reports are tempting. but i'll wait for few moments and see what dopodasia can do about this or I'll be joining mamakap and give "what the heck" for voiding the warranty.

Maybe we could send a mail to them by telling then why Jamin has new rom and in asiadopod does not have it...

Been using the JAMin ROM for the pass 48 hours and the new JAMin ROM is rock solid, even I overclocked to 240 so far didn't get any SD card missing or auto soft reset, anyway will keep monitoring my Dopod.

how about any here know how to solve my problem???
As the green light is blinking, but i can't turn on my screen.
As only soft reset only can help...
Plus the worst part is when call come in is ringing but my phone did not have any effect...

There are some additional steps to take if you wish to update your Dopod 818 pro using this new ROM.

FYI, some have done it succefully.
I myself have not done so, but will soon.

toruhikaru, is quite easy to change your current Dopod ROM to JAMin ROM but you need "aWizard" tool first to Enable RAPI and unlock the CID in your Dopod inorder to use JAMin ROM, once you unlock, you just run the JAMin ROM exe file.
Just click the links which tsg had provided, you need to read the procedures, pros and cons of upgrading first then upgrade the new ROM. I don't want to be the one responsible for your Dopod become a flashlight

I'm not too sure lovesick_joe, maybe you can send your unit back to SiS service center?

The only thing that is stopping me from buying a 818 pro now is the support for AKU2/A2DP. Hope dopod will release a rom update for AKU2 soon.

2. please download the file and extract it
3. please put the ringtones to My Windows Mobile-based Device > Windows > Rings
4. please tap the setting>phone, and choose the ringtone.

why I cant download the JAMin rom? it says .. Alert : 550 Failed to change directory
