BEST LOCK brand name summore. Companies trying to hit and run the Lego community profits. I almost gave in to buy that military set at its price of RM 159.90...Metrojaya also have em.

The quality and the density of the plastic bricks also play important factor to make a strong lock between bricks adn joints.

@panjaang16: Glad to see another modular collector. I bought Town Hall and Petshop as a set from an online seller but both are stuck in Malaysian customs since 27/07. No news as of yet... My CC is stuck in Australian customs because seller failed to disclose amount... But yeah, better to get them now and live poorer than regret not getting them when they go +300 dollars.

@Gizzi69: I got it from a guy in Australia. He needed money for his Phd so he decided to let go all of his sets. He had a lot of sets for sale but I went late. I got it for about AUD$150 (shipping was ~20 dollars i think) which I thought was an absolute steal biggrin.gif

ALJ is the evil distributor responsible for notoriously high Lego prices in Malaysia. Basically, Lego prices in stores here are jacked up above and beyond what many Lego fans feel they should pay for sets. Sets in Singapore are much cheaper in Malaysia, for example.
Because they're the sole distributor, they pretty much have a complete monopoly and can dictate the prices they set without much fear of competition from anyone else.

Sorry guys the generic china stuff is cheap rubbish. And at a High price too. Everything falls apart easily.

And unfortunately, k-reo is also not good quality too.

i bought some Enlighten sets. They look good when assemble, but the part qualiti is quite bad but not as bad as some other brands.
and when mix wif lego piece its too glaring contrast.

however i salvage the hinges/connectors those item that when u build liao u cannot see one.
now i got 3 big boxes of enlighten did not unbox. dun plan to also... i feel not worth to buy despite cheap price cos no enjoyment.

Added on August 23, 2012, 4:13 pmlast nite i hide all my lego into boxes and cupboard. cos the house got party and i sked the kids come and play my minifigs and destroy my sets.

Guys,

After watch the below video on the new Technic set 9398, i found the this owner mentioned the original motor tag along is not powerful enough for a crawler.

And this another video show tht this set has been turn to XL motor. May i know any sifu here got any idea how to mod it? Is it just get a XL motor and replace with he original motor then everything settle or need to get other part together with the motor?

KREO minifig comes with ball joint but overall the building bloks are like some MEGABLOKs set. Marketed under strong brandname but not made from high quality materials like LEGO. Some KREO blocks have "wave" on the surface which is common on ciplak China brands.

@kenhew: I got CC (MISB) for about AUD$700 from a Garage Sale. It's expensive but I bought it anyway cause market price for the set is about 2.5 times what I paid. You can still find some on Bricklink (one was going for ~USD$1400 MISB but box damaged)

@vey99: I know how it feels. I bought about 2.6k bricks through Lego.com and BL totalling about USD$600 to build my MOC. Lego.com was cheaper for me but a lot of parts are not listed at all. Toys-U-Want on bricklink offers a lot of sets at affordable prices.

@tribalsun: Thank you biggrin.gif I saved up some money doing my internship. If you want you could start with the more recent ones since they are affordable.

@Gizzi69: It was from a Garage sale in Melbourne, had my friend check it out and buy them for me. I bought 5770 (Lighthouse Island), 7347 (Highway Pickup), 5771 (Hillside House) and 7346 (Seaside House) all for < AUD$300 shipping included.

thanks for the heads-up on that. been looking for the Maul and only saw it on eBay. sapu-ed two of them and only two more left.
FYI the 10% discount applies to certain Lego products and not all of them.

Is obvious their purchaser NEVER play LEGO b4.. (& never even try to assemble best-lock too!!! )

... on top of that, the best-lock salesperson must be damn slick!
