wats the difference between ath ws77 and es500...sommore the es 700??
*
ATH-WS77 build for bass lover while maintaining the detail of sound meanwhile ATH-ES500 has balanced sound quality between its bass and clarity with stylish design (unique aluminum casing design)

ATH-ES500 was on-ear headphones while ATH-ES700 was over-ear headphones with better frequency response than ATH-ES500

There is no ATH-ES550...just ATH-ES55 which are old model + on-ear + balanced SQ.

ATH-ES series was emphasize on balanced SQ, simple and stylish design.

Hey guys!!anyways i've been asking around in the head-fi forum, and i've probably narrowed down my decision to
Sennheisers headphones .. as the m50 sound stage is terrible and the earcups are too small for me.. probably i would feel the earcups pressing my ears which i HATE it! i've actually also considered Beyerdynamics the 770 pros but i feel liek that it;s too heavy for me the looks and too big ( teh ear cups) so im now currently settling down with
Sennheiser 650HD
Sennheiser 600 HD
Sennheiser 558 HD
i usually listen to basically almost every music genre! a rough scale of what i listen to: Kpop( 20%), Country/Sentimental music john mayer and such( 35%), pop songs ( payphone, call me maybe or some pop songs, 30%), techno( 10%).. so yea..

From your first post dated 13 Nov till now, it is very obvious that you are totally lost in your research doh.gif Your requirement stated previously contradicts with your current narrowed down choices rclxub.gif At this rate, you are going no where, sorry shakehead.gif

You may want to first redefine your needs nod.gif Identify the type that suit your needs by research on the different types of headphones and their applications nod.gif Make a list of the headphones that are available within the type you had identify previously nod.gif Then filter it down based on your budget nod.gif

hey, im very sorry for it! hmm i guess i will still need to do my research.... but from what i've found yesturday, that the senn 650/600HD WOULD not sound superb right out of the box, they sound even worse than those 30$headphones. but if you buy an amp, those 600/650HD would be SUPERBBB!! now im considering Byerdynamics 770/880/990 too! and also M50 Audio technica ( but i'll just do my research now and when i narrowed down to what i need i'll ask for help here, thank you for assisting me anyways)

Any opinions on the Denon AH-C400?

I tried it at a store but it won't work with my Blackberry (which is incidentally my main phone) Works well with Android though.

I like the flat EQ but it doesn't work with my main phone!
Anybody knows why?

You might want to keep your eyes on the Sennheiser HD598. I've read that they are not very amp dependent but sounds quite nice as well. They are open cans however so sound will leak out and in as well. They are fun sounding headphones and a lot of people prefer them over the HD650 and HD600 because those are quite flat and analytical. Fun headphones are good for most music genres.

Lastly, try them out before buying, any headphone you want to buy you have to test them out.

Then you probably should get the M50. It's quite a good starter headphone before venturing to test other headphones.
