Well what's your property outlook?

Mine? I think properties should hold despite all the bubble talks. And a more likely scenario, is a sideways drifting market. A market where the top players will survive.

Prop stocks need to see the faces of the bankers. hmm.gif

How relax or how hard they ( bankers ) want to tighten the markets ( by BNM )

IF prices go beyond the means of most people, be it BN or Pakatan, a big problem to solve.

Code 10 has a very good housing building ( KOTO ) scheme , but most people do not see IT.

Billions given as angpow to the rakyat, but too little is done at this area ( housing ).

Next Budget u might see some yawn.gif

I don't think Oriental value has been unlocked. There is still plenty of cash sitting in the company, as well as undervalued asset, while dividend wise is not that generous. My pov only.

The one unlocked recently is Kassets.

Whether unlock or not is another issue.
The one I concern more is about rewarding minority shareholders like me, aka how much profit company made, then how much dividend being rewarded to shareholders according to generous dividend policy.

ya ORIENT still zzz with their $$$ . nothing changed so far except 1 coverage by CIMB + stock price up .

Hehe. The issue i have is not against cash/asset allocation but the issue is against Plenitude.
I cannot remember if Plenitude has gone out and buy another company or buy some new land for the past few years.
How then can I safely say Plenitude will put the cash into good use?
Ok, I give Plenitude the benefit of a doubt.
I shall assume Plenitude is preparing a war chest, a war chest to be used when a crisis happens and Plenitude will use the spare cash to sapu big time.
But if I have such a thinking, this means properties prices will have to drop a fair bit or maybe drop a lot more since Plenitude is a conservative player.
But if this scenario, where properties prices were to drop a fair bit, would to happen, shouldn't this have a negative impact on Plenitude earnings first?
Yes, they can sapu cheap land but their earnings will also be hit.
And if earnings is hit, what kind of correction would one see on Plenitude's stock price?

Come Sept 18, Bursa Malaysia and the Singapore Exchange will be the
region's first two exchanges to connect through the Asean Trading Link, the
share trading system envisioned to eventually link 10 stock markets in the
Southeast Asian region. This will be followed by the Stock Exchange of
Thailand. (Financial Daily)

What does it mean? Does it mean we can trade Singapore stocks directly on Sept 18? notworthy.gif

As the larger players already have their own regional networks, they are unlikely to route orders through the Asean Link. Hence, the link maybe viewed more of an infrastructure provision that is more relevant and beneficial to medium-sized brokers who have better credentials but lack the regional infrastructure to reach beyond their own borders.

benefits of the link included reduced transation costs, with brokerages now having direct access into other markets without having to go through another intermediary.

facing muted interest from Malaysian brokers because most brokerages here already have trading tie-ups with counterparts in Singapore
