please help me, is remotely lock or unlocking the car give a beep of once or twice. i jz gt my car for 2 daya, i rmb yesterday it beep. but today it no longer beep. any advise hw to re enable auch beeping? cz this morning i was exploring the car n i think i disable it accidentaly

Mine never beeps. When it locks you get one long flash of turn signal. Unlock 3 flashes of turn signal. But never beeps.

My car was not driven for 3 days. Last night, got to it and found out the batter was flat and when i got into the car (by opening the door manually), I'm hearing tick tak tick tak sounds (like it's from a relay) behind the 3 emergency light button.

Soon after, I have jump started the car, run for a while to recharge the battery and things are back to normal.

I'm suspecting the alarm was triggered and had drained the battery.

Anyone have similar experience?

if its not lock nicely.. lift the seat up and then slam it in hard!

finally..after a weeks testing driving my PREVE black..
i just realize PREVE not really stable at high speed like my previous GEN 2..

maybe becose the Gen 2 is more lowered...and more aerodynamic

but comfort wise..PREVE win KAW KAW..

Actually the engine is already warmed up cos been driving. After restart 5 mins later then it happened. Will monitor & see.

Below are the issue which might help someone:-

1. Lock indicator can't be push. [Please proceed to SC to rectify this problem]
2. Gear console lighting does not appear / dark. Sometimes P and R only got lights. [Please proceed to SC to rectify this problem]
3. Hood light warning issue. [Do not attempt to fix it yourself, quickly bring it to the SC]
4. ESC indicator failed. [Proceed to SC and replace the panel.]
5. Car jerking while half way driving then engine cut off. Engine sign came out. [Send it to SC, it is rectified and solved already. Key control board issue]
6. Member tkaira reported issue with locking mechanism will alternate between lock/unlock by itself. Experience during driving sometimes the doors will lock and unlock at random times. [Rectify at SC, change driver door latch]
7. Some user reported their driver side windows can only auto down but not up. [Rectify at SC]
8. Some user report cold start engine issue like those of exora bold. [Rectify at SC]
9. Wind noise issue coming from C pillar at about 80-90km/h. [Proton acknowledge and is investigating] [A member here has found that the issue originate from the rubber at the small window. He put a playdoh on both upper corner of the small window and the noise disappear]
10. Rear boot can suddenly open by itself. [Rectify at SC]
11. Rear dashboard rattles
Solution: Dismantle the dashboard and stick some padding at the rear middle on the bottom side.

12. Very high FC before 1k or after 1k service about
Solution: Reset the FC reading, n drive normally. If ur a heavy footer, then don't bother asking about FC.

13. C pillar wind sound while cruising
Solution: from front left c-pillar after 110kmph-fixed by sc,using silicone over welding joint

14. Issues with fabric seats (stitching, thread coming out, sound while sitting)
Solution: Inform SC, usually problematic seats will be replaced. For fastest replacement, visit COE.

15. Left rear weird sound
Solution: solved by SC,loose nuts over suspension,dog bone & seat

Added on August 4, 2012, 7:59 pmi found ou the the CVT gear act very weird... if the car is going uphill more than 25degree. it will always stick below 2000rpm... and never go up the 2000rpm. at D mode, it always keep changing the gear 1 up and 1 down.

but if u switch to softronic... the rpm can go up more than 2000rpm and change gear using shiftronic. and never drop gear if u maintain.

that where the weird sound come from the engine when go uphill...

my SA said dont push the RPM more than 4k becoz not having first service yet (< 1k mileage)

but i forgot to tell to my brother..then he test drive my car at 5.5k using protronic drive...
and yes he said this PREVE very very nice maa...habis minyak DEnnn...

hopefully no problem la ... hahaha

i just afraid need to hold this car at SC if something happen..very sad ma if cant take this car to celebrate RAYA this year...

Guys, so sorry for asking this, to those who have installed wiper stand to our beloved preve, can anybody share a pic or teach me how to do it? Last time I remember one of us here have installed those "Little Wagon" brand wiper stand before but forgot who already.. Thanks in advance!

fulat how much did u spend on your soundproof mats? what are the brands and how good are they?
does it benefit a lot?

20-30% boost on the sound quality of my speaker(i change my speaker. not using the stock anymore). with the rubber sound proof i already reduce the outside noise. after add the soundproof mats. another 20-30% improve. less 10-20% tyres noise. engine might have a bit like 5% noise reduced.

now go over pot hole less noise too... thats my experience for now... i will condition to do the sound proofing from time to time until i am satisfy.. might not be as good as bimmer... but at least 80-90% similar.

hi guys, after long time no contact with my friend, today had a chat with friend of mine in prtn. Try check ur car battery, whether there is a brown layer under battery terminal. Its actually inform of round shape. Iinm, normally oem battery dont come with that, it just a couple of rm, below rm 5 which available in any battery shop or even prtn sc. If i not mistaken, they call it battery terminal protector. My friend said that, maybe that can help to lessen the flicker of light when ac compressor kick coz the voltage wont drop too much when it kicks. It also help to protect the terminal from having the white sulfuric dust or what they call to the terminal.Hope this help.

About the recent recall. Its related to vvt sprocket, n if leak or crack, they change it to a new unit, n it will take only around couple of hours max compare to owv change.

Hi, i m new here and planning to buy a preve 1.6 cvt executive. would like to ask bout the FC in following conditions:

i)city driving with minor traffic jam
ii)peak hour driving, such as going to work and coming back from work
iii)highway driving

i dont really know about the iafm engine

But if u buy preve premium which is CFE..
u will get the best FC for preve

this is what average i get for ur situation

i) 8l~10l/100km
ii)10~14l/100km
iii)3l~7l/100km
