you can try to convert one from a normal road bike though... just find one with huge clearance in the fork and rear chainstay...

after that, it is only a matter of the cantilever brakes and fat tyres... fulcrum makes some cx wheels that can take a bit more abuse if you intend to take it to the dirts... else, 32-spoke 3-cross mavic open pros will work wonders...

difficult? not really.. there is this thing called ebay and the internet... as long as you are willing to pay.. there is a willing seller...

haha.. i rode one 30cm tall long time ago.. i was once a very popular japanese exercise tool once... worked up a sweat just tryin to pedal it around the shop...

why is it the parents problem? allowing them to see the movie or buying them a singlespeed / fixie? i guess, this is one of the case that those "do not try this at home" warning does not help but incite more trying at home...

your old man is bullshitting you lar... who can pull perfect pedal strokes after a long ride... that is why there is the term "pedaling squares" mar...

maybe your old man installed some motor in his seat tube like cancellara and trolled the hell out of you

perfect pedal strokes are not something that you can achieve immediately... and you have to keep on telling yourself to do it until it becomes a natural thing...

the best way is to find flat as pancake roads and learn to pedal with only one foot with your clipless pedals...then rotate and do it with the other... once you can crank the pedals over smoothly with no jerky motions especially on 5-7o'clock and 11-1o'clock crankarm... you are more or less there...

mostly jus the threads la... ask your bike shop to strip the pedals and BB cups out.. give them a thorough cleaning and wipe the thread on both the frame, pedal and cups inside out... regrease the damn thing and then tighten the hell out of it...

i bet you more close to BTS... i think one of the mechanics quite friendly la... i know him last time from TBFS... sure no prob one.. since you spend the majority of the moolah on your bike there... unless they really found something wrong with the spindle or bearings lar... which is quite un-common..

my look keo2 max also lasted my abuse for quite long... and i haven't heard shit complaints from hianboy yet who is using them now...
