My car's about two and a half years old already. I got it used. So yeah, hopefully the thing just makes noise and is not about to fail.

QUOTE(anep @ Sep 20 2012, 11:33 AM) isit normal for persona when you want to close the rear door need to slammed a bit? or isit bcoz the rubber still new? or it just me? Its due to the door design too.. The front door is longer and the weight of it u can see its nearer to the B pillar.. The rear door is more heavier looking towards the B pillar compared to the C pillar end.. where it has the curve for the rear wheels. QUOTE(Cavino @ Sep 20 2012, 04:11 PM) After reading more articles from denso overall (they never give exact life span)...I come to conclude in general Denso Iridium Power plug should be able to last maxed 50K mileage. By then probably performance degraded to max. Well nothing is better that real world knowledge. When i went for Denso last time i did my research ady..Most vendor recommended 30k to 40K change. I think I will either go for 30K if got $$$ or 40K if no $$$. Don't think I want it to go 50K...the eroded performance and fc probably did not worth that 10K mileage. The post indicated eroded 20K is over 10 years old....so I guess technology has advance greatly. However global denso STILL list Denso Power IK20 as 15K to 20K kilometer vs oem/tough 100K. So.....up to your interpretation. Added on September 20, 2012, 4:12 pm Actually those denso iridium that can last 100k km is iridium tough not power. Power is performance, tough is long life. OEM usually used something similar to tough. I took out my spark plugs and did a regap it at around 40k km. Thats like around 32k km of mileage since i changed my plugs at 8k km mileage.. clean plugs with no sign of soot or lean redness. Regap the plugs back to stock specs, which is 1.1mm. but u can go closer to like 1mm or 0.9mm. After regap the plugs will function like perfect brand new plugs. Y they say performance plug spoilts faster? its due to the electrode being more finer than Tough series which is 0.8mm. Every spark the plugs put out, a miniscule amount of the electrode will be gone together. Thats call wear and tear. So technically, a 0.8mm electrode should tahan 2x times the mileage of 0.4mm if the amount of sparks generated throughout the mileage is EXACTLY the same. However due to different driving conditions such as high rev all the time will cause more wear and tear. Therefore a performance plug which is tend to be driven at high rev most of the time will show lesser lifespan than standard plugs which were calculated on normal mileage at lower rev and also thicker electrode. Y spark plugs have problem such as misfiring after a while? its because of gapping voltage. gapping voltage is the voltage required to bridge the electrodes. the thinner the electrode, the lower the gapping voltage. the nearer the electrode to the ground , the lower the gapping voltage. Thats y denso misfires very less. its thinner electrode gives the advantage. Over time the electrode will wear off and the gap will become bigger. So a regap will bring it back to brand new performance level. So conclusion is. Ur IT20 Iridium Power also can last as long as regular plugs, if u do a proper regap. However if u regap it with an inexperienced person or a person who does not know how to do it, there are too possiblities. 1st the electrode pin bends. Causing irrepairable permanent terminal diec0ck damage to the plug. Continue to use it will cause instant damage to ur engine. 2nd, the gap becomes too near. When the ECU is unable to specify a gapping voltage that is low enough to time it properly due to the much lower gapping distance, ur sparks will jump a bit too soon. causing detonation. then ur engine will become like ckdenion punya. QUOTE(onijoseph @ Sep 21 2012, 11:17 AM) U mau beli R3 rim only? R3 Rim only for sale also. Offer me. Ori price is RM1920. Lowballers will be sarcastically replied. QUOTE(hong3831 @ Sep 21 2012, 03:08 PM) haha, then any suggestion for me? i follow this topic quick a while, saw about cusco, liqui moly, etc. But im new on this, zero knowledge, looking to learn from here. appreciate~~ Cusco so far the best.. But too bad dont have stock. QUOTE(anep @ Sep 23 2012, 04:21 PM) Sorry bro.. Need to update u all.. The current batch stock also finish.. 1 Gen2 club came and sapu every single bottle.. so have to wait for the next batch in nov. But since there is so much demand. In the future when there is stock i will straight take as much as possible and then put it for sale here since there is a lot of demand for the oil. This post has been edited by ZenGTMM: Sep 23 2012, 06:53 PM |
