Just changed my Persona's engine mounting. Vibration definitely cannot be felt through the steering and the body already, but there's a new problem now. When at low speeds or a standstill, accelerating the car produces some minor grinding sound like grnghhhh before it disappears. Doesn't happen during mid-high speed cruise acceleration though. It's coming from the left. Anyone has any idea? sad.gif

hmm.gif. Tested the car again just a moment ago, revving hard from every stops. Looks like the problem seems to have disappeared. biggrin.gif

I usually use Kit Car Paste Wax to wax mine. hmm.gif. Quite nice to use. Just did waxing yesterday and today a seriously large bit of bird poo fell on the car, but luckily on the window. sad.gif

i use the grey one..

I bought both the Metallic and the Paste Wax before, but couldn't see any difference in them, not to mention that the price difference is very small or just about the same, if I remember correctly. I usually get mine from Giant when it starts to run out. hmm.gif

not getting VS?

Not enough for both at the same time sad.gif. I'll probably get it next month. Could have chosen to go with the VS first though but I'd rather perfect the circuit before adding the VS biggrin.gif.

The cause - Weak brakes & without ABS (M-Line)
*
Ouch sad.gif. Experienced some nearly-accident moments in my Persona before ( e.g driver braking very hard in front when there's a lot of space at low speed ). Luckily I got the brake pads changed to better ones, but still can feel that the braking power is terrible even when the pedal is pressed fully. It's time to upgrade to a larger brake master pump I suppose.

Heart break, mine is just 2 months old, I regretted for not choosing H-Line for the ABS and 4 disc brake

But the back of Myvi quite keras tho..not even touching the back tyres..just bumper K.O.

Been driving my Persona for about 5 months now ( got it 5 months ago ). You definitely won't want to stick close to any car in front when going at moderately high speeds as well as low speeds cause the braking is just bad. ohmy.gif

Good that it's black. Else when you wash rim, you will cry  doh.gif

From my washing experiences, those rims will still make cleaning easy. hmm.gif

Rims like the ones of the Nissan Serena, now that does give headaches especially for the small part between each spokes doh.gif. Bloody tiring trying squeezing the sponge with one finger to clean that area.

Any fix for a Persona's passenger door lock which occasionally doesn't open with the rest and some times opens with a slight delay? hmm.gif. My Persona's left door's lock doesn't come up some times when the car is unlocked or when I hit the unlock button.

Its the module in the door there loosen ady. Just go to a SC they mb can tighten it for u. If its spoilt also u can get a free replacement too if your car is still under warranty.
*
Warranty's over already. sad.gif Is tightening hard? If it isn't I might consider DIY.

One of key reason of brake not work so well for B and M line is the brake bump. B and M is using the brake bump used in 1.3 saga that provide insufficient braking power for 1.2 tons 1.6 liter PE.

H-Line is using brake pump used in Gen 2 or is it Satria Neo....not sure...but its a brake pump MEANT for 1.6 liter car like PE, thus H-Line has sufficient braking power coupled with ABS that makes braking distance ok even for stock brake pad.
thats mean just a simple upgrade on brake pad will do? thanks for your advice notworthy.gif

I'm currently driving a B-Line Persona, and no, changing brake pads alone is still not enough. The car's running on Bendix Metal King atm and even after pressing it fully the thing just goes forward as if there wasn't any braking going on. sweat.gif Nearly got myself into a few accidents where my car looked as if it was about to kiss the butt of the cars ahead of me.

HI, I experienced the car(b line) will choke(more likely acceleration) when...

situation 1:
when braking slowing down the car, mean while air cond kick in.
situation 2:
when braking(while waiting traffic light), and air cond kick in.

anyone experience this?

Never experienced such a problem before hmm.gif. I'm driving a B-Line Non-elegance 2010 model.

Just realized that I didn't get the drain plug gasket for my Persona changed for my 60,000KM service. Any issue if I delay it to 65,000KM?

**I also haven't gotten the brake fluid and radiator coolant changed when I sent my car for servicing doh.gif. I guess I should have looked at the service parts list properly.

If I'm not mistaken, 4.5 litres of ATF is required for the Persona hmm.gif. And yes, SP III is required, not Dextron III, but that's based on what I heard from my mechanic. biggrin.gif

No idea. I haven't bought that before. I use Proton's ATF fluid instead, which costed me RM15 per litre from a spare-parts shop. biggrin.gif

Those are very nice tyres indeed brows.gif. Very easy to polish it black as well by hand cause of its smooth side wall.
