Anytime Maxis LTE is much better than Umobile DC HSPA+

Lets keep out fingers crossed that UMobile LTE will be launch soon.

gprs, edge, h+, lte or 4g are just the same. All are depend on these (so call, great telco) server are capable of handling large volume traffic at one time or not. This morning at 3am-6am my Yes 4G network crawl slower thn my over quota umi28. haha

Agree with you on that. But at most I can connected without any problem for 17hours+ with Maxis. With Umobile, sometime need to reconnect more than 10 times in 1 night. Very seldom Maxis give me a problem.

If your area don't have umobile, yes, it's will roaming to maxis network. So whatever maxis can give you, you will get the same things for umobile.

U MOBILE SCALES NEW HEIGHTS WITH 3G NETWORK EXPANSION

Kuala Lumpur, 1 November, 2012 – U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative telco, is connecting the orange dots across Peninsula Malaysia, with the announcement that its customers can now enjoy 3G coverage and high speed internet services in every state. This is as a result of the activation of its 3G Radio Access Networks (RAN) sharing with Maxis Berhad (Maxis).

RAN sharing with maxis doesnot mean the speed /capacity provided by both telco to users are same

The capacity is all depends on their own core network backbone to the internet.

That is y i would like to conclude both maxis n um user at same location may get diff speed even they are under same cell with same 3g tech, let say dc hspa+ 42mbps smile.gif

Haiz, I need some advice from you guys...

Ok, my parent's don't let me subscribe Unifi... Because it got 2 years contract and I might be studying overseas during July 2014.

So no idea, my parent's don't want to pay the Unifi bill after I go study overseas then I think I will stick up with U Mobile... Actually the speed are pretty worst these few months and I keep getting constant disconnect.

Before I go study overseas, I might pick up some jobs during Jan-Jun 2014, I think I can pay the UMI128 plan RM128/20GB per month.

My main purpose: playing Dota 2, and streaming Videos (Qvod) and torrent sometimes, and I will also get a MiFi modem 21Mbps or 42Mbps one.

Do you guys thinks it's an good idea? Currently I am using UMI68 5GB with a lousy ZTE MF110 and Huawei E173 modem, will upgrade it after I get my salary.

How do you think? And can someone give me a Speed Test for those who are using MiFi modem? Thanks.

And the speed I get during 9.54PM. UMI68

Off peak (12am onwards) I think I can get 2-3Mbps++

Just switched my simcard from my 3g router to iphone.

Found the data/internet connectivity of UM is intermittent.

Called the CS and what they advise me:
1) eject and reinsert the sim
2) manual search for the cellular carrier and use maxis, in few mins then switch back to UM

Besides above, i had tried to switch on/off my phone and even reset the phone also not solving the issue.

Anyone having same problem with me? or it just me. sad.gif

note: i think having same problem while the simcard is in the 3g router as i use the router in my car and my wife keep saying sometime no internet connection while using wifi.
