QUOTE(pisanq @ Apr 13 2013, 06:24 PM) Just got Edge (E) connection underground inside LRT from Ampang Park to Masjid Jamek even after enable data roaming. How to get HSDPA (H) connection while roaming to Maxis network? dude, umobile din't rent 3g from maxis for klang valley area... so, no point to enable data roaming if u at klang valley and of coz , umobile does not have 3g coverage for undeground putra line... so u only get edge.... which is from maxis not sure bout kajang coverage.. but i guess if u at klang valley, no umobile 3g definitely no need to try to roam to maxis 3g...

QUOTE(TengTJ @ May 1 2013, 09:34 PM) Just did speedtest at 9pm with Maxis Prepaid. 5Mbps DL and 1.3Mbps UL. Ping is 50ms. I only need fast speed,1Mbps is ok for me.But Umobile really suck at night( and day time recently).Worse, they totally ignore customers's complaint, and even ignore MCMC. Never see such arrogant telco. Honestly now they offer me 50% off I also don't want but i think only umobile has the cheapest postpaid among top 4 telco.. and it caused all my fren n family go to u28... and even accept the slow speed as what they have paid...

3G is not called as roaming, it is called as RAN sharing. 2G is, and it is called as domestic roaming. not all UM users can use maxis 3G towers, but all UM users can use Maxis 2G towers. Since IVAN is saying cannot get 2G signal, i assume there should be some problems with the UE/SIM card ... lets see how

QUOTE(karheng @ Aug 9 2013, 03:12 PM) all major online banking provide UM reload. If you don't have online banking, just go to 7-11, petrol station, even some supermarket also can find reload. I think today you can easily found 1 near your place. FYI, sibu does not hv 711.. so i guess only petrol station has minor chance but i doubt the petrol station at sibu provide any reload services.. Desmond, u may go normal phone shop around central market.. opposite pansar... many shops do hv reload service for umobile.. told by my mum.. QUOTE(masashi89 @ Oct 13 2013, 01:15 PM) Guys i got another question..i jist switch to umobile and sub to umi48..and then i got this one problem when in my way to kuantan i cant access mobile data and it said need data roaming..if i choose data roaming will there be credit deduct?thanks in advance~ It is not possible to get charged for domestic roaming... no worry for that... But better becareful if u nearby border of other country, eg kota bharu or JB as your phone might roam to their operator if your phone is not set correctly. *I can get DTAC AIS and true move 3g signal at tunehotel kota bharu

RAN sharing with maxis doesnot mean the speed /capacity provided by both telco to users are same The capacity is all depends on their own core network backbone to the internet. That is y i would like to conclude both maxis n um user at same location may get diff speed even they are under same cell with same 3g tech, let say dc hspa+ 42mbps

QUOTE(nordingh @ Nov 4 2013, 10:54 PM) If your area don't have umobile, yes, it's will roaming to maxis network. So whatever maxis can give you, you will get the same things for umobile. You are right if you saying 2g network... If 3g... pls refer to my previous post
