2) upgrade = bill 40 ->68

apply new one = activation fee RM 100 , advance fee 68, 1st 10 months paying 58 with free 21mbps usb modem,
or activation fee RM 50, advance fee 68, without modem,

Okay..I did not expect that. I thought roaming is only for international..will try when I go there next time.

Umobile roams to Maxis network automatically whenever there's no umobile coverage. So coverage wise, umobile is as good as Maxis. Only thing is data speeds are limited to 1mbps (I think) when roaming on Maxis network.

U mobile max speed = 42mbps technically, so there is no difference for mb68 and mb40, only the device, so u won't get any difference while upgrading this plan with same modem, but with 21mbps modem might be SLIGHTLY different

u are not paying any extra by getting a new 1 just need to pay the advance fee lo, that 100 is for the modem but rebate back haha, and enjoy special discount from me

You need to state your requirement on Data and Voice usage per mth, a rough estimation should suffice.

since im new to using mobile internet for smartphone, for now im using celcom's daily mobile internet coz i cant get to sub the weekly and its too expensive, since 2oct till now i've used 350mb according to my phone data usage stats...now im searching for a prepaid or postpaid plan,im not a heavy data user just whatsapp/wechat and some internet surfing and gps navigation,call/sms also not that much, i can say less than 50minutes per month for calls..so i just think if umobile is good plan for me,and try to ask here, thanks for your advice/opinion..

10 days already used up 350 mb, so u need <>1gb data, postpaid U28 with 300 sms free + 1 add on RM 8 for 80 mins free call might suit u.

or UMI 48 prepaid 2gb data 100 mins free 30 sms for more data

no charging when u do mnp...but first bill u receive will hv rm10 stamp duty. how long? i from maxis to umobile less 24 hours (since i pay extra $ to maxis for previos month, which later on they sent me balance cheque). also hv experience from umobile to maxis also around 24 hours.
