Hi guys...

I see many time people asking about data coverage and the answer is outside of umobile3G areas, it'll fallback to maxis2G now right?

then how about for normal calls and sms? it will also fallback to maxis right?

All this will be done automatically in the background? or I have to keep checking if there's signal and manual select maxis?

So which option should be enabled for it to work smoothly. (auto fallback to maxis and etc)

Of course the first option should be switched on to enable data.

untick the "use only 2g network"
that option will use 3g by default, and will auto switch to 2g when 3g is not available
*
sometimes I wanna stay on 2g to save battery. I do know what then I'm away from umobile coverage, it'll fallback to maxis/digi 2G.

what I would like to know is, which option should I turn on to enable domestic roaming?

the roaming will be automatic. if u use automatic network selection.
tick the data roaming to use data when umobile coverage not available.
*
"data roaming" or "national data roaming"?

if u scroll up a bit, can see my screenshot there.

no idea what that national data roaming coz my phone dont have that option.

maybe the description explain: dont connect to data service when nationally roaming.
*
wouldnt national roaming mean roaming within malaysia?

http://www.u.com.my/blackberry/prepaid

interested in the RM34 for 600mb for 2 months. only difference compared to normal prepaid is that this one has no 100min and 50 free sms right?

just MNP into Umobile Prepaid, then do the relevant topup and subscribe, easy job  thumbup.gif
*
but actually right, how much do they charge me for the BIS plan? besides the RM34 every 2 months for 600mb.

I'm trying to see is it more worth it to go for normal RM28 per month or this BIS one.

I'm not using a BB. just a normal smartphone.

take U28, Postpaid, its 1GB data at rm28/mth, comes with free sms too

call rates are charged only when you use voice, if you seldom call out, its worth it......

but then again UMi28 (rm28/mth) is okay too but data quota is only 500MB
*
can I know about contract periods for prepaid and postpaid? This is with MNP yea. not just buying the prepaid pack from 7-11 or singing up new postpaid plan.

Are there minimum amount of months I need to sign up?

currently there is no "tie-in period" for MNP-ed account, meaning u can port out if u are not satisfy with Umobile, however if you take Postpaid with Device, there will be CONTRACTED and u cannot port out till the Contract expires  icon_idea.gif
*
allright. so since I have my own device already, I can opt out of postpaid or prepaid anytime I want even after I have MNP-ed?

If let's say I cannot receive U Mobile network, show "Emergency call only". Can I turn on my streamyx wifi and still can receive Viber or Line Free incoming call and message? icon_question.gif
*
yes. Viber and Line calls/messages goes through Internet data connection. Therefore any wifi network will do fine too.

ahhh I forgot there's prepaid and postpaid.

Yours is prepaid or postpaid? If prepaid, it'll follow one month from the day you start. postpaid is 1st of every month.
