Moving to nxt job after 2months, getting 3.7k, fair pay?
Have been working very hard for the past 2 years, current company is offering 4k to have me stay, but i choose to jump with lower pay for better learning opportunity.
My starting salary frm current company is 2.4k, getting more thn 10% increment per year, ppl around me said 10% per year is very good, but refer to the year of exp and salary ppl posting here, even im getting the so call "very good" increment but 10%-15%+ per year, obviously i still cant hit what the salary they are claiming with the same year of exp. Mind to share exp how u guy get the big hop?

i put my expected salary as 4k, they nego to 3.7k. The company is introduce by my frend, i love the environment and they will to giving chances for talented ppl with decent reward according to ur performance (unlike my current company, no shit is given no matter how hard u work and contribute), thats why i accepted the 3.7k, hoping to perform good and get promote. Normally when hoping to nxt job, how many % higher thn current job salary is reasonable as expecting salary?

My frend is oso from IT line, not HR, so he juz telling me what he actually going through there.
I did told their HR i getting 4k counter offer, but they still offering 3.7k. Considering bonus i getting here max will only be 1 month, regardless ur position and performance, so overall the gross at new company is better, as long as u perform good. And considering i will get my expected salary when my probation end. And this is my 1st Job and its SME, converting to MNC, not sure how MNC work, just my presume, that my SME working style might not work in MNC and need time to adapt. Hope my move is correct.

let say im not an extraordinary person where i can get a very big hop in salary every time i jump, wats the normal salary increasing rate? 10%? 20%? 30%? just want to know how the market rate work 
i see some ppl said 30% for each hop, 30% for me seems like too over.

These day rarely people will get such increment within the same company.

The easy way to get high increment is to jump company, but jump only if you are good in interview/work. Else you just get yourself in trouble.

I mean rarely not impossible. Seem you had promoted from Jr to Snr Exec.

I got offer from a shipbuilding company in Sarawak for a Project Inspector position (inspect shipbuilding) . They offer RM1200 (RM1.2K) per month for first 3 month probation, then slowly increase after that. Is this normal?

Yes i do. I am Mechanical Engineering fresh graduate. RM1.2k for probation. Mentioned to increase after 3 months probation. Increment depend on performance.

I'm still considering coz the rest is oil palm. Though higher but no life. Low pay is so typical for "foochow boss". Plus the company is actually owned by my friend's family. Thats why its just "verbally" informed me. Even "verbally bonded" , say expect not to treat it as stepping stone

Mech engineer, 27, 3 years experience, Nilai Industrial park, RM4k basic for 6 months probation, Rm1k allowance upon confirmation but no salary increase till 2014.  Is that reasonable pay?

Just started work... looks like hampalang sapu type, like from ground level up... also given meal allowance of Rm5 a day at factory canteen only.

RM4k starting till confirmation, then only get the extra Rm1k allowance afer 6 months/    

The thing is the fixed allowance of Rm1k upon confirmation will not have epf, right?  Allowance taxable?

No petrol or toll allowances though unless on official viist to other factories.

Got offered for a 5k job back home. Is 5k RM for a civil engineer consultant job in East Malaysia consider normal? 6 years exp. Currently working overseas and Malaysia in and out but looking for opportunity to be full time back home.

More than 50% pay cut if consider the exchange rate. The salary number also can't match in my hometown and current pay. Poor place...

Previous Work is Based in Sunway and Current Work is in Damansara KL.

That is the current Dilemma i am Facing now....Unable to Decide which one to do first...Due to the fact the work is Contract, having a scared feeling that what if was not renewed and ended the 1 year contract and i purchased and house example..How can i commit to that payment + my other monthly fixed commitment.Since already age 26..I cant be able to afford to carry my file again to get another steady job and repeat the same thing again..

All i want is a steady job i can settle with and continue with my life till i retire...I cant afford to carry file every year and wasting my time,resource and what ever small saving and end up unable to commit to any necessity living needs. i am not young anymore and needs to think about life and future.

Just i am finding different possible ways to lower down expenses.

My main cons are now is i am driving.To be frank, i don't know how to ride bike as i never learnt..Now i am regretting it as traveling with car is costing alot.

Food wise i am already bringing from home so i save from food. Parking is a challenge as i tried to use public transport but failed as no nearby public transport at my working place and my work start etiher 6am/7am.

I do aware i need to live with it by lowering down and also need to move on positively but but its like i am walking on fire now as the job is not secured yet and need to wait a year more to get to know for conversion which i see a few of them here are working good but yet on contractual basis and not converted.
