The seniors here are quite good, willing to teach. And all their projects not housing or shop lot, all mega projects in water supply. Good place to learn but I don't really like office life haha

8 hours is indeed normal.
But some jobs just cannot be done in 8 hours and/or runs everyday of the year that they need you to work for 12 hours or more.
And usually you get compensated with overtime bonus or something else.
I have to work on 12 hour shift daily. Excluding 1 hour of handover to the next person. No rest time.
I eat while doing the job and toilet breaks has to be quick so as not to miss any parameters on the job.

But of course, I knew all that before I accepted the offer. So, does not count as being abused.
