Hi guys, I'm driving a 10 year old manual Wira Aeroback 1.3GLi. Recently I'm starting to have problem with the gear change. But this doesn't happen all the time and only for 1st and 2nd gear only. When this happens I will have to release the clutch and press it again to change gear. Is this a gearbox issue, clutch pad issue or some other issue? Thanks in advance.

Wanna ask something. Today I D.I.Y set my adjustable camgear for sohc. I test drive different settings according to the degree markings on the gear I get a lot of power from low rpm when I set towards retard but when I set to advance a lot the car feels totally no power. Retard gives higher idling too while Advance gives very low idling.
But isn't Advance suppose to give more low rpm power? |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Aug 24 2012, 09:25 PM) maybe you got the direction of retard and advance wrong? It is according to the pointer printed on the adjustable cam pulley, currently set to retard 3 degrees with much stronger initial torque. I would have never know about this if I didn't spend time experimenting with different settings.btw, if correct retard, the power will feel less on lower RPM as it have been shifted to higher RPM. |

FYI, its terbalik, what you see from the cam pulley, once adjusted, the affects are the opposite lolRetard cam = advance crank and advance cam = retard crank Your current settings are basically cam timing retarded 3 degrees so basically it is 6 degrees advance on crank hence your much stronger initial torque. No wonder my foreman says 'A' on the pulley no power when I insist him to set it the first time.Retard cam = advance crank and advance cam = retard crank Your current settings are basically cam timing retarded 3 degrees so basically it is 6 degrees advance on crank hence your much stronger initial torque. |
