I never thought the changing the cables affect that much though..

and about it being fragile maybe I'm the some of the unlucky ones to get those with material defects



The treble is more than the ksc-75? You sure about that? IMO the treble from the koss is more than the hp890, or mine is not properly bured in

- shp895
- plantronics a350

2nd option
- sennheiser pc150
- icemat siberia
- razer barracuda
- shp1000

2nd option available only if i cant get enough of the 1st one
so..the question is, is shp895 good enough for gaming (mic doesnt matter)? wont the sound leakage annoy my roomate or my teammate in counter strike tournament? is it that loud (never test it before)?
for shp1000, is it open type also?

Hey, got a question here. I own a HP890 n when i plug into my 10 years old radio hifi instead on-board ac97, the sound produced iz alot more improved...i wonder do i need an amp?Can the sound quality go further on?

I'm new Philips SHP8900 owner. (Can i join the group) Sound not as expected. Might consider a HeadAmps. Trying to DIY myself a LM4881 amps. Waiting for my chips to arrive. BTY, normally how long should i burn-in my headphone. Felt Bass too hard and High Hz too strong...currently connected to my Sony AV Amps.

i got 3 pair of hp890 and 3 pair of ksc75. both comparing give the same result. so i assume there's no experimental error occur.
with stock cable. the sound is quite dark. but have better bass. but with canare cable. hehehe i gurantee u can't tahan the treble if you turn it really loud.

i not sure how long should burn. i bought my second pair from ijan, which he used for 6 month, and i run it for roughly 3 month. but during i using., there's one day i notice that the sound had changed.but i assume it won't need more than 200 hours to burn.
by the way, what player u used to drive it?
try to amp it, ksc75 is some how quite far from 890 IMHO.
ac97 don't have enough power to drive it. just get a cmoy. u can spot the different easily.

lol so many same headphones for what You want to add one more to your collection? I sell you mine without the stand and get the HP895 instead.

Btw have you tried the HP895? Any obvious different with the HP890?

sort of....i got 1 pair brand new to keep, 1 broken from ijan, and 1 from eddy to use. (while me and my gf watching movie, or listening to music, we use same headset) then, thinking give my brother one if can found it.

duno u want how many HP890 only u can satisfy....

today akabane come over and listen to my hp890.... perhaps we wait for him to say somethings here.... =)

yeah right man, guys listen up this british airways is just a name, maybe for your all will think is just a normal headphones like ah beng china made headphones but today i witness it that this headphones is a marvelous even this mini can produce such a heavy base. I tell you guys don't laugh at this headphone really is a good quality headphones, never thought this british airways is the same as mas airlines ler.

In our evening meeting, there is a test and witness by me that this headphone easy to drive while using a headamp. even can beat koss75. Why not u come over to witness it.

By the way PCWORK, today is a first time we meet and i'm very happy to meet a such a good guy like u . really good work man, your DIY in cable is a very good quality. soon we meet again.

Reason why PCWORK brought a lot of this headphone cause he likes it. even myself now also wan it ler. After improvement of the cable the whole can become another version maybe is name it as PCWORK Edition. First impression is just like the same phone as my previous HP895 but seem totally different. Somemore the headband is soft and confortable. Somemore when using the modd CMOY amp also change the headphones become a another AKG headphone taste
