You should trying with others sound cards (notebook/PC) which are available around your peers. Listen to them and justify yourself do you able hear any difference, if can't then get yourself an amp to drive it, at least HP1000 is needed an amp badly to make it self showing it's potential.

agree with tat. u need an amp to really bring out the best from ur HP1000

I JUST GET A MINI-EPH from mike..

actually i m quite fond of the DIYed amps made by thedoctor n Eokboy. i hav an impression tat they will be better than other amps in the same price range. anyone ever compare it with PA2V2 or Mini-EPH?

yeah, is a budget price. so not expect so high lo.

Just a budget setup, dont expect too much lo......

But I think the source does matter a lot to the amp,I got no other soundcard to test it out, just using my onboard STAC97 with ASIO4All, so just think & guess oni , hehe.

I felt significant differences if using normal headset, but I dont know why I cant feel it with my 895. Anyway, I am just a beginner in this, my ears dont have that much "experience" yet
