Dude, you need to start using punctuation. I had hard time reading. I'm a PvE-er and the one i reply to was also talking about PvE. PvP no doubt bleed warrior better than bow warrior. Bow warrior maybe useful in WvW flank attacker. Dont know. I'm a guardian fan now.

no such thing in gw2.
you are referring to "the holy trinity" tanker dps healer.
gw2 strives to break that mold.
in gw2, think of it like tf2, with swords and sorcery.

not necessarily.
what good is healing if you are already dead before you can heal?

however, good guardian build means no matter how good your dps is you cannot kill the guardian quickly also.
some dps builds rely on killing their targets quickly. if they fail to kill their target within those few seconds it is over for them.
i.e. glass cannon thief

and it was tested that 2 guardians can take on 5 people. cross reviving one another.
one down, one guardian rushes it, shields push people who are attempting to finish the downed guardian away.
the guardian proceeds to revive the downed guardian.
they try to finish off the downed guardian again.
downed guardian pushes enemies away.
downed guardian is revived and back on his / her feet.
*
not really lol, that type of build sacrifice too much offensive/ supportive load...
the problem for guardian is balancing these 2 aspect...
even on a pure defensive build, i would die 1v2 against good opponents who know how to coordinate CCs with burst damage (basic of PvP)...
all you need to do is to identify the casting of key guardian skills (which are actually non-instant) and interrupt during those moments =)

secondly, u dun rush to finish off ur opponent when his buddy is still alive (biggest mistake one can make in sPvP)...
try watching some sPvP videos and you can see how they do it...
for example, u can choose to keep the downed target low with bleeds and focus on killing the other guy too...
if u have a thief, have him cloak and ninja finisher...
there is also insta revive skills like the warrior's banner (which is a must if u sPvP) thus you dun risk 5-10 sec of damage jz to deal a finishing blow...

the good PvP teams which you can youtube is Paradigm Shift [PS] and SuperSquad...

Added on July 30, 2012, 6:18 pmnote: the game is still very new and veteran GW1 PvP-ers all agreed that they dunno enough of the game yet... think of it as early SC2 where compared to now, a diamond player back then is of the same level as bronze now lolx

really? I liked bow better. Unless i stack bleeding with dualwield swords. Rifle is kinda slow in killing imo. Bow is more crowd control. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Lol. Actually after watching many videos. I kinda realize I always did not dodge which leads to down/close to down stage. Hope I dodge properly in release. Which is tmr. AHHHHH I WISH.
*
I didn't really try bow much, since I had always wanted my warrior to use rifle and dual sword biggrin.gif
Warrior rifle is more towards 1 vs 1 though, since all the skill are against single foe, if I get attack by more than 1 foe, I'll really need to dodge and move a lot or I just change back to swords biggrin.gif

well yeah if single guardian versus 2 other equally skilled or better skilled then no choice lor.
hmmmm well i guess i am a casual sPvP players then hahaha.

i just treat the 8v8 sPvP as random arena 8v8
eh can enter sPvP as a guild / team one ar?

i suppose you could, and you should actually. because people normally know their guildmate better than the PUG (pick up group)...

if you're asking whether can form group b4 enter or not OR simply just hit enter pvp like the fort aspenwood in GW1, not sure...

Yeah, I figured. But I felt like a axe offhand with Whirl felt more comfortable for me. So i used a bow and forget about bleeding. How is bleeding towards mobs? Cause as you can see, I'm PvE > PvP person lol.

must call target and skills in pvp. You seen some warrior waste his 100b, you call and focus. Playing pvp without voice chat is damn unbalanced if you go up against even 2-3 guys with voice chat.

yes you can...
there is a in game tournament system where u form your own roster and join tournaments =)
for competitive wise, it is 5v5 btw...

i played a glass cannon crit riffle warrior and it is really fun especially with the F1 sniping critting for 9k+
though once again, if u play this style u will never be able to go in and perform a finisher on ur opponent...
it is pretty much hit and run unless 1v1...

there is actually a dedicated key to focus target (mark the target with a big cross for ur teammate to see)...
the default is alt-t if i am nt mistaken, i changed it to mouse click so i dun remember >.<
that combined with voice chat is really important for SPvP due to the point capture and neutral killing/ kill-stealing...

bleeding is a form of damage over time which stacks in terms of damage...
after 4sec, 1 stack will drop till there is no more bleed...

it is different from burn as burn stack in duration since u play guardian u should be familar wit burn =)
generally in PvP, bleed is better than burn due to the higher initial damage (ranger if u spec right can stack 20bleed within 2 second ^.^)

Yeah, I know about the conditions and what they stack; intensity or duration. I was asking whether valho was using bleed on mobs and how was it. If you read, I definitely agree that bleed is better in PvP but I'm more of a PvE guy so.

Anyway thanks for the insights. biggrin.gif

Rifle skill 1 for warrior is a bleed, so pretty much every time skill 1 is use, you are stacking bleed smile.gif

Opps click submit too fast, for me yeah rifle works well during PVE, I saw I was actually doing decent damage on a troll champion during one of the event. Against normal mob is no problem, against veteran just need to move and dodge and keep them away from you.

oops my bad...
it is the burn for some classes in PvE, mostly for high burst type such as thief and warrior...

from the way i see it:
- Bleed higher initial damage, lower sustain damage (and harder to stack up initially unless u specialize a build for it)
- Burn constant damage but higher sustained damage thus very good for long fights in PvE and it is that damage since the start of it which made dropping the stacks isn't as punishing (since PvE you gotta move out of fire etc)

for stacks 5 or so, i find burn to be better than bleed for both PvE and PvP
