Perhaps other banks kiasu and kiamsiap on giving out rebates.  sweat.gif
But MBB2 not much of promotions and privileges offered compared to OCBC (1 for 1 GSC but already expired  doh.gif ) or Citi. Citi got lots of fine dining, promotions such TGV ..blah blah...  rclxub.gif

In other words, MBB also kinda kiamsiap in their promotions and privileges.  rclxub.gif

I think MBB does have many promotions... They had 1 for 1 GSC too for AMEX Platinum card holder smile.gif

btw, its this 1 right:

Principal RM50 10000 GSTP001

cause i saw another 1 stated dual card, but different amount of points below:

Visa / MasterCard (Dual Card) Classic 100% 18000 VMCD005

It depends on how u think. For me, its worth it, coz using it to pay GST, I'm paying off expenses with points. Even though changing it to cash voucher for certain merchants require lesser points for the same amount of money, those vouchers leads to "more spending". So I will make sure I pay off my gst with points first.

For redemption, I would prefer to call them up and as them to do the redemptions. I've no experience redeeming online except once, where I dun see any updates or indication of my redemption process. I call them up and they did it pretty fast.

Seasons of Winning = 100 days.
So far I think it's paid only once, where were the remaining days...

The CS told me that it was redeemed into my AMEX already. But my mastercard is still charging me the RM 50 GST by now. Is that true? rclxub.gif

Huh? AmEx is auto waived every year, just that you need the TP to offset your MasterCard.

just to clarify...

with mbb 2 cards, u get 2 cards but GST is charged to only ONE card.

if i'm not mistaken, both of ur cards will be charged with GST initially (you'll see one transaction each card. then becoz of the statement above, it will automatically waived one of the GST (with one transaction in ur statement stating so).

then u'll need to use TP (if u choose so) to offset the other urself. (another transaction in statement stating so)

i suggest u check ur statement on when is ur GST charged and the waive/redemption.

when communicating with CS, there might be some miscommunication between u guys.

Thought it is the recent 20% cashback promo, but the amount and date are not as per T&C...
And I am not new-to-bank customer.
I will call CS later tonite to find out...

After my winning on 7 Aug, my wife (supp card) also won the RM100 on 22 Aug. rclxm9.gif
Consider "GST-less" 2 years down the road. Thank you Maybank. notworthy.gif

So, lesson learnt, please answer those simple questions via SMS. laugh.gif I still remember mine was asking the colour of AmEx. laugh.gif

Didn't expect I could have won something out from it. laugh.gif

Thank you, Maybank! That's why I keep pushing my friends to apply. I didn't use the referral forms. sweat.gif
