I keep forgetting to ring them during their office hours but it says on the maybanktreats site listed under promo SmartTraveller & SmartTraveller Annual.
I checked the brochure, the price is the same as what I would pay whether I buy it through maybank or not. Am I missing something, what's the promotion? Do you get x% off if u pay via maybankards?

Citibank also called me about this CPP but much more polite. Maybank's call really fail. I say i will consider and i meant it but when i told him to call me back one week later, he asked "why you need 1 week?" Seriously?I must like decide on the spot? hi, just wondering if anybody encountered this situation?
recently, i tried to pay for a groupon voucher using the AMEX card. The transaction was declined because data not match. I tried again, failed with the same error msg.
So I called the AMEX hotline to enquire. The agent confirmed that it was declined and asked me to recite my CVV to her. (Are CS agents allowed to ask for your CVV?)
I then asked 'Why?' to which she answered that it was to ascertain whether that is the same CVV maintained in their systems.
So I asked why would it be different?
And she answered there was a system glitch last year and CVVs were incorrectly mapped to the system. This affected a small number of cards and mine seem to be one of those. She needed my new CVV so that she could update it in the system.
I ended up using a different card to pay for my groupon.
But I would like to hear your opinions on this. Should I call back the CS and get them to update the CVV?

There's a limit of two(2) AMEX transactions every 24 hours.

This is truly disappointing. I called up Maybankard Platinum call center 2 times, asked for increase of temp limit. I need that very urgently, as to clear my current credit I need to interbank from other banks. Night already, even interbank takes 1 day man.
They said cannot means cannot. They said increase temp limit was due to emergency which falls to 2 categories:- - overseas - hospitalisation
anything beyond that, not emergency.
Why I want an increase? Coz before this I go for 0% installment for a Dell Laptop, and seriously I didn't know it would affect my credit limit (crap!). 1st time no tell me (took my own cash to clear, which I thought sufficient to use again), 2nd time only tell me. If I can use my own money, I better don't use credit card. For what!
But you know, few months back RHB Bank which I was using a classic card (worst than platinum or gold)..understand my situation and gave me 50% increase. But Maybankard 1% also cannot.
The call center told me it's bank negara policy. Then I said RHB can why Maybank cannot. Then he/she said it's not under emergency and maybank is different than rhb bank.
Then the call center lady kept saying "I don't understand" ... what da?
Huh? Went through 2 supervisors, cannot means cannot.
Original storyline:-
last sunday: call center rejected me last sunday: talked to supervisor and rejected me. Day report, can't ask for temp limit. But I asked for 3 days approval temp limit. No mention about my credit limit due to 0% installment. last monday: transfered X amount to maybankard last tuesday: i cleared X amount from own pocket, thought i should have sufficent credit balance to use. last tuesday: night, i try to use my credit due to urgent matter. Still cannot, call the bank. She told me cannot and many "I don't understand". last tuesday: i said fine, how about the 3 days approval thing which I requested on Sunday? Then she said record wise, not showing any request from my side. (Censored by admin)! and the rest all ding dong with me... I am sharing my experience here that I manage to temporary increase my credit limit when I told them I need it for hospitalisation purposes.

That's why u need to carefully decide how many coupons you would like to purchase, as you can buy multiple coupons per transaction, except those tag limit how many coupon per account.
