Hi guys, saw a deal on Groupon that is offering 598 for a B full license , problem is, i do not have any experience with a bike but would really love to have one, do you think i should go for it?
another question is , do i need to get a bike after getting the license or i can just keep the license and keep renewing it until i have the money to buy a bike ?
Thanks in advance guys !!

GO straight to B FUll . dont waste time.
when you go to the driving school to learn, just be honest, tell the instructor you've never ride a motor before. People will look at you one kind but you know, malaysians are quite jakun.
The instructor will advise you, try the kapcai for a few rounds. learn the course, Figure-8, Titi, cones, "jln raya". Then hop on the big bike when you are confident.

dont need to go into the course yet. Just learn to start it, learn to use the clutch and take off in 1st-gear. you can also just go around the bigger area (where the cars go) first to get used to turning the bike etc etc.

Some says that non fling oil is better but some says the opposite. Im not so sure why but maybe depending on type of chain used.
I use the non fling type lubricant and wipe with burlap but still my under tail exhaust will be dirty by the oil.
When Im cleaning my chain, i did take out the front sprocket cover for cleaning inside and at least for visual check on front sprocket.

Cleaning would be a little easy with kerosene and using old tooth brush. When lubricate the chain, lubricate inside of the chain, be at rear sprocket by rotating the wheel.

I still need to get a new set sprocket and chain  sad.gif

for cleaning I use diesel. cheap and doesnt harm o-rings and plastics. I also do take off the sprocket cover to clean up the gunk in there. Even tho it is impossible to clean everything.
Diesel is oily and will need something to wash it off so I use a degreaser you can buy from hardware shop.

Yes, side mirrors.

yea. however I also find the regular mirrors practically useless. I have to turn my head quickly most of the time.

If you got the time to visit Naza, why not go for the power  brows.gif . Naza quality should be comparable with Proton  icon_idea.gif You better check with Blade 650 group.  icon_rolleyes.gif

he's right.

Hi guys...a newbie to this forum. Have not been actively riding though have had my bike close to two years (No ride kakis and not much time).
Two questions if anyone can pls help;
1. When should you lube your chains?
2. Is there a good place in KL where you can do bike detailing; washing and polishing etc
*
1. i lube my chain once every 600-700 km. clean the chain and the sprocket area once every 3-4 months.
(as you can tell, malaysia is a wet country and if you ride the bike more, the frequency of cleaning the chain would be higher)

2. bike detailing susah sikit. coz bikes have a lot of crevices and nooks that are hard to reach. Autodetailer of PJ Jaya One actually takes apart the bikes, and washes all the parts individually to do a proper job. Otherwise, the job will be half baked.
But for the average mamat like me, half baked is enough so I do it myself.

for washing and detailing, i rekomended Merz Auto Spa at puncak jalil. last itme my fren saw a cbr600 wash and detailing there. good workmanship
*
thanks for the info! Convenient for me.

Thanks for the replies. Would you happen to know what's their rate like the Auto detailer in PJ one and Merz Auto Spa?
*
Autodetailer is premium. You most likely need to be a member. But for one off expect the cost to be in the high hundreds.

Took another seat on the ninja again today. I think I have the wrong sitting position. If I put my crotch right at the gas tank, I have a much better posture.

I've talked to a few mechs and they ALL advised against getting the Blade blink.gif Is there a reason for that?

I am 80% planning on taking the T2 already, but I'll heed your advice smile.gif
*
I think you'll like the Ninja 250R. at least for 2 years lah. I was on karak the other day and the Ninja just easily swept past me on soome of the turns haha.

Why is it that every motorcycle dealer I go to tells me to stay away from Naza bikes? They keep saying the same crap like low resale value and difficult to find spare parts.

Why why why?? And should I believe them? I am seriously thinking about getting the Blade 250N liao.
*
well they are being honest. or more likely, its also difficult to trade in later on. As in, they dont want to take in the bike.
Those two points they make are true, but you're also paying less for the bike to begin with.

Should be nothing less than 1.5k bro.
You can check with many shop in KL and will be more or less the same because of high demand.

I did mine 1 year ++ ago nearly 2k. Only fairing excluding chassis frame or engine repaint or rims.
Last 2 months I check few places in KL to airbrush my old helmet and was quoted from 800-1800 depending on design.
When ask why so expensive, they said because of layer la, airbrush quality la etc.. which i dont know shit. I just went for a new helmet  brows.gif

I did mine at creative make over but you can check lilusArt auto design and few others in FB. I forgot the name la..

40k km top overhaul?  hmm.gif
For my bike, at 40k will require valve clearance check.
Ask them what includes in the quote and compare with your bike service manual (not the user manual)
And do it only at authorized service centre.  thumbup.gif
*
ah yeah, thats the one VC check. But since I dont have the service manual,
just wondering how much would it cost.
