Is it normal for rust spot to form on the chain after every wash? I seldom wash bike and everytime after I wash it, there is some rust spot on the chain, but it is wipeable. I normally oil the chain every 500km.

darn cat did it again. this time it climb up to my front and puke in it, scratch my tank and panel and stain my front panel. even after cleaning there is a color different on the puke spot. went for a ride to dry the bike after cleaning, end up ridden 75km. try some tricks my sis taught me about getting cat away, i put some lemon piece on the floor surrounding my bike hoping she will stay away with the lemon smell.

you get this green jelly from pet shops. it smells of citronella which is a natural chemical cats and dogs hate. The brand I cant remember but the pet shop would know.

you get an old tupperware, fill it with some rocks, and put the jelly inside.

well first thing to do is practice not getting too much water onto the chains. More so during washing, you use soap, it accelerates rusting. So best to avoid that area if you can. Just wipe with a wet cloth will do.

But water splash is unavoidable so what you can do,
before keeping the bike, go for a quick ride. the water should sling off the chains. Come back and wipe off any remaining water on the chains. Dont take too long in wiping off the water as in my experience just 30 minutes is enough to get rusting.

I find that after a ride, the heat from the chains helps the water evaporate off.

Lucifer's workplace near by your house? seems like around 20km daily trip only. Good to know you can ride to work. Fun... My work place if want to ride to work, i'll need a KLX. The road is like a war torn zone...basically some 2-3 kms of fire-road/ estate road and 15kms of road which bump you up till the roof type. Until now haven't dare to ride to office. Scare the lower fairing will be rip off...The chain and clutches and throttle free play adjusted. What else i should pay attention to?? I just worry something expensive will break right after the warranty. Just like my home LCD TV, 1 year warranty, exploded @ 1 year 2 weeks old....
*
heh, i'm using the F now on estate tarred road. it sucks.

Serdang to Jenjarom - via SKVE 50 km nice roads
Jenjarom to Banting via estate road 10 km - hell!

Any idea what this screw hole is for?? Is it for accesories or some other country with different spec ?
*
damn! never noticed that.
THis might seem silly, but I have a feeling its a positive terminal for the battery if you want to jump start.
I looked at this picture

Happy Hunting... I notice different ER6F will buzz at different RPM. Mine @ 4000. My left buzzed at the top fairing near the meter there (loudest and solved), the right hand side still haven't solve the problem yet (different place but it not so loud, so just pretend it doesn't exist).
For EO, I use silkolene comp 4 if change at service centre, shell advance ultra if self change. alternate between the 2 as i change every 2k. oil filter only change at service center (every 4k).
*
oh.
I want to try changing the filter myself but I dont have the tool to remove the kawasaki filter.
There are filters you can order online e.g. K&N which you only need spanner to remove.
I am using silkolene 10w40 at the moment but have noticed since I ride long distance ....the engine isnt very smooth. Going to change to 15w50 and see how that goes.

Hey guys, looking for a 600cc-650cc bike to play with. Only driven ex5 in a kampung setting before. Lol. Whats good? Considered beginners bike before going 1000cc. Btw I look at the sits of the bikes you all post seems all like single sitter? Can it accomodate 2 people in the er6? Going more for looks then performance atm.. haha. Appreciate the feedback!

ER6N

btw its seat.

To sit.
To sit on a seat.
you are then sitting on a seat.
You are seated.

Personally I have couple of friends riding barley sorry - meant Harley, as they have multiple bikes and having a barley again my bad, Harley is more like a cult status of having a bad boy bike. My take on the majority of the barley owners, crap I did it again - I meant Harley, are middle aged super well to do folks that is going through mid life crisis and living it like Wild Hogs thinking that riding a barley, damn! I meant to say Harley!!!! Gives them a bad boy image. Most obvious flaw I notice about this "punks" is that they do not know how to move or park their bikes. Imagine 200+kgs of metal and they still want to sit on the saddle and pedal the bike.
*
Ooo then how to maneuver the bike? Usually at that age they have something in between and their movement is restricted.
Something in the middle became bigger.
