the door is closed by clinging metal to metal right, when u open from inside or outside, imagine two metal clinging to each other so tight, the seconds you un-cling both of the metal...that kind of burst la....

u using small D...dun have that feel...later second TT let u feel opening my car's door...

Added on July 31, 2012, 3:21 pm
yes, something similar....instead of pops, imagine metal with metal releasing each other sound...

Added on July 31, 2012, 3:25 pm
dun think so, i didnt put too much rubber, only use Big D...follow whatever stickymat's post shown...didnt add additional rubber at doors...

for example, if the picture shows only put rubber at edge of doors, so i just put one line of rubber at edge of doors, wont put two lines of rubber at edge of doors...

the only additional rubber i put is in A pillar front door gap, that's all...
i thinks using big D makes the door even tighter...
*
thats the purpose... tight mean sealed nicely with no incoming wind and out going wind. thats why i asked u to use only big D... especially preve gap are huge. so those tight feeling is like u opening a conti car's door.

nope~ i dun think it's needed. It's redundancy already.. tongue.gif
DIY very subjective.. make sure the gap is seal.. then is ok d.. wind noise produced when a strong wind blow through a small gap..

just my 2cents

Like this then ..

I noticed Preve comes originally with such a lip at the top of the door, presumably to seal off the gap/longkang between door and frame. Should be these little gaps that produce a whistling sound at high speeds. The air shouldn't be coming into the car but being located that near, the high pitch whistle seeps into the cabin.

Yeah, I see some pics with rubber covering those holes. Don't think it's a good idea to have your own private aquarium in the door. smile.gif

hopefully proton manage to resolve the probs asap. Iinm, customer is always the king been stressed out all across prtn sales n after sales, being trained to respond appropriately, still some dont follow... Haishhh...it doesnt matter its customer's fault, but the of handling the matter is the most important part. Hopefully all the auditing by drb could resolve all this.

Yup, i know some intentions to support proton, but please show that proton user@lover also matured in handling things. So, chill down.
I know many wants prtn to be perfect n the old n new mgt also want that n i believe even drb r trying their best. It just the restructuring took long time to be completed. Hopefully they end it soon, so that all operation can be run smoothly.

N my wish that by being privatised under drb, prtn is given freedom or a bit of room to choose its vendors n doesnt strict to the local(malaysia) contents policy coz thats been a burden for long time coz not many foreign co want to open subs in malaysia, so choices are limited. The only thing i know the previous one try really hard to ensure this n hopefully the current also follow suits.

My pray that everybody here is well n also the car n problems will be sorted out soon.

About the imm, i think its due to integration of bcm. Nearly everything is interconnect. Sometimes, higher tech has weakness. Remember case on new benz where even changing a simple light bulb need nearly an hour to run the diagnostic before the light can be fully functional, due to the high tech equip, compare to conventional sytem just a simple change light bulb. I dont compare superior benz with inferior prtn coz its out of context, just want to explain high tech is good, but still has its weakness.

Salam ramadhan.
