besides, who doesnt like the COP bass adjustment, it's just plain fun to have it

i dont mind some bass reduction
i prefer a airier sound and better comfort since i use it at home most
detail,soundstage wise which one you think stood out? COP details sounded good to me, wonder how the dt770 sounds

For sound staging and accuracy, for my opinion, DT770pro provides much better on that part.
COP able to offer fun adjustment due to the bass adjustable feature.

However COP is efficient, and you don't really require much power/amplifier to drive it, while 770pro really depends on the impedance you get, 32, 80, 250 and 600.

For 80 and above, amplifier is necessary for maximum sound potential.

Agrees on the efficient part. Even in my note 2 its quite loud
My COP distorts sometimes
For example bruno mars 'when i was your man' when he starts singing loud it starts to distort
Not sure if it was source problem, track or my COP driver got problem.
The file was 16bit 44.1k flac

try to get a benchmark by playing on youtube perhaps? or even download/rip a copy, or even better, play on the CD?

Sounds like source problem. COP supposedly can handle human frequency range.

get a schiit modi+magni (M&M) and you are good to go

im more looking on fiio e17 now 
might get that combo if i upgrade to tesla headphones

If you are at Tesla... you might need to consider other options other than E17

i mean if i get tesla then only i consider the modi  and magni combo

I tried the DT880s, doesnt sound too appealing to me.

Many told me that the sound signature of both is similar, but I want to try it for myself before I want to conclude on that.

May I ask what amp that you use for the DT770 Pro 250 ohm?

i used to use O2 amp or the cricri+ with it, both perform differently

I'm wondering which amp will be the best for driving this headphone.
