How does it sound from your Pico Amp/DAC?
Currently driving my T1 from Centrance dacport and feel like it's lacking something out of it |

I refused to believe when I went to Jaben when they told me you can actually play T1 direct straight from your iPod (though not recommended) and still audible compared to HD800 or LCD2Walabies, got any special promo for GS ultra linear? |

Will give an impression of T1 pairing with burson soloist (amp) and DACmini (dac only) soon. Early impression seems promising but will give more burn in hours first before making a comparison.

QUOTE(walabies @ Nov 2 2012, 11:52 PM) For most genre, the burson does a beautiful job especially in fast pace music especially Jazz & Rock. However the centrance dacmini (dac/amp) does a better job when it comes to female vocals as the burson can sound very harsh (not pleasant) |

QUOTE(hahariz @ Feb 21 2013, 01:52 AM) I find that with DACport LX it makes my T90 shine. The bass now have more slam and the midrange is nowhere recessed. I think with these combo and my current amp; Graham Slee Solo II, I might have found my endgame. With that said I have yet to audition the HD800, HE-5/600 and the LCD-2/3. Last I tried beyer T1 and other models through dacport LX and GSII (both solo and linear), it seems to be to mellow (though it smoothen out the harshness), don't feel it has much improvement on the slam effect on the bass but maybe that's me. |

QUOTE(gandalfaaron @ Aug 4 2013, 11:54 AM) not a stand alone one.... But you're still bypassing the internal amp irregardless and that matters when you're pairing it with a seperate amp.but if you connect the fiio e07k to the e09k the fomer becomes a DAC..... but both are still DAC + amp.... consider a few amp and dac before i bought that.... (nwavguy 02, magni modi, hifiman ef 5 ef 2a......except for the first one the rest are not available on local market) cause wanted something portable and desktop which can connect headphone and my speaker and not that expensive below RM1k for both and available in Japan also with not too bad of a review Although the products you listed above are not available locally, that doesn't mean you should only opt for locally available products only (they are cheaper sometimes to buy it direct from the international market and shipped it here). Just make sure the voltage specifications are correct and you're good to go |

QUOTE(noonies_naruto @ Aug 8 2013, 08:42 PM) I see I see thanks for your opinion bro It depends on how much you want to spend really as there are different "flavours" as to how people want their HD800/T1 to sound. Of course tube amps have been popular for the both of them and especially those models that are output transformer-less such as Woo Audio WA2 or Decware CSP2+ (most good amps, you are likely to buy it overseas and have them ship it here though).I am currently just a mid-fier with mid-fi level rig. Probably in the future, id wanna invest more in this, hopefully with an increasing buying power Its either the T1 or HD800.. but then the dac/amp thing is another factor to consider was checking out the Schiit Bifrost and Valhalla, pricing Also, don't disregard solid state amps as "most" of them are actually quite decent in terms of their quality once you reached a certain level and models such as Schiit Mjolnir, Bryston BHA-1, Burson Soloist/Conductor are pretty good as well. Funny thing I used to own the T1 last year and didn't enjoy the high's reproduction as I found it rather harsh (in my opinion) and have numerous changes over time until now |

QUOTE(joshuachew @ Apr 24 2014, 10:40 PM) After much deliberation, I have decided to let go of my Beyerdynamic T1. It will be missed and it will mark my exit from the Beyer clan after selling off my T5p as I started to use the more convenient custom IEM's for portable use a few years back. Damn, I also had the T1 a couple years back and sold it off as well. Looks like you're almost on the full planar swing soon And the price is great too, even better than buying on head-fi FS threads for those interested out there. The packaging provided by Beyerdynamic T1 puts the HD800 packaging to shame. |

Better for Beyer to improve QC standards first before venturing into new R&D. Seeing how their dt1350, xp1/2/3 had it's own defects and durability.

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Dec 30 2014, 10:50 PM) agreed, more faith on the headphone line up, since i used COP, DT440, DT770 and none has met with any issues, might reconsider picking up yet another Beyer ( again The older and classic models are still somewhat ok. Heard and seen many T1's driver failing on one or both side from a few friends, not only those in Malaysia but in EU and US as well, so its nothing new. |

Repairable yes, any manufacturer can do that.
But terrible customer service, Beyer is also good at that. They have a notorious reputation for that within Asia and Europe, with North America being the exception. |

And it looks like Beyer strikes again with that its legendary QC issues with the Beyer T1 Gen 2 DOA on its left channel to SBAF reviewer, Marv.
Source In before Beyer fanboys say that its bad luck/shipping damage/etc. |

Not sure if anyone's aware but Massdrop is having an all black version of Beyer's DT880/990 600 ohm version on drop. Looks pretty sweet looking.
