Hello all,

My friends and I (8 Pax in a Group) are travelling to Bangkok for the first time for 7D6N. I would like to keep our options open such as land tour for a few days/destination.

Can anyone suggest a few tour operator or destination?

Thanks you.

Yay finally booked my flight and hotel 4N5D for bkk next month.
Which night cruise+dinner is recommended? The one I currently looking is chaos prays river cruise, rm120 per head. OK?
And is it worth dine at baiyoke sky hotel? Rm80 per head, buffet dinner + sky walk roof deck.

Hi,i will go to bangkok on next year~ hv to start do some research and planning everything...any nice place must go to visit? this is my 1st time travel to bangkok...i heard my fren said that there ppl treat u unfriendly if u dont know thai language..izzit? they dont know english so how to communicate with them? must follow tour cant walk myself? thanks~
*
Not really, you can speak to them in English but try to be as simple as possible. Use keywords instead of long sentences, especially if you're talking to an older person. It is also helpful to learn some basic Thai words. Thai people are usually shy so if someone walks up to you and speaks in fluent English, you should be suspicious. Do not tell them where you're from and if this is your first time in Thailand. These are usually, if not always, scammers. Not necessary to follow a tour. I did all the visiting by myself.

I'm wondering what is everyone budget for Thailand? RM4000? Mind sharing? As I need to start saving for my next trip.  laugh.gif

I budgeted RM800 for 6 days and 5 nights and ended up with an extra of RM120. Went by train. Long journey but fun!

You can try U Baan Guesthouse. Rooms start from RM21. Very clean and near the BTS station. Away from all the tourist.

You should also try the Taling Chan floating market. Less tourist, more locals. As for the river tour, you can just pay about RM1.50 for the public boat and do the same thing cheaper, probably minus the tour guide.

Hi guys. I might be dropping by bangkok for two days. Will take an over night train from hat yai and reach bkk in the morning. Any suggestions what to do in day 1? Was thinking to go to a famous landmark and shopping mall and maybe china town in late afternoon. Not sure what to do at night though.

Next day will take a tour to the floating market and back to Malaysia.

Thanks!

I would rec AIS. There's an AIS counter at the airport. I paid 100baht for 300mb valid for 7 days. Constant instagram/gps/fb only used 80mb after 4 days. I have no problem with the coverage but I stayed in the city mostly. I think alot would rec Happy but the last time I checked the cheapest data for Happy is 199baht. I don't know about phone calls though. Hope that helps.
