Yours is definitely a petrol drinker
Dunno whats wrong with your car indeed

m|ng : 1.5 auto is like that 1 ler because only have 3 gears. But some 1.5 autos I heard can perform very good as well. RM70 for 400km around close to 11km/L

Hi all, ahh this is a wira thread, saw this in LYN front page.

I am driving a 93 1.5GL Auto, RM30 Vpower can do slightly less then 200km, one whole week of short range driving(~3km per trip) with lots of bumps and one midvalley visit(50km highway) will yield 190km+, driving usually not more then 80kmph even on highway, rarely speed to above 90kmph.

If purely do short range driving I think its only about 140km++ but as long as I am good boy and stay at home in weekend, 30 bucks V power can last me more then a week. Full time highway can exceed 200km no problem.

I have been using V power for the last whole month(each time only refill RM30) as I am impressed with it and I am still testing with the FC. I never fill full tank as this kill my purse really fast.

My calculation also not that accurate, I refill once the fuel needle reach quater tank mark, and then reset the meter.

Highway driving is not so petrol consuming as moderate speed all the way while city driving otherways ! My wira 1.3(M) with 195/60 15" rims can only do approx 250km with RM75 (city driving), seldom go outstation, so dun really know the highway comsumption yet. Wira actually quite makan minyak , the needle will remain quite high for the first 100km, then after going 100km, needle drops rapidly !!! That's my experience.

Just my centszzz !

380 is quite normal actually, I tried driving another 20km while the needle was on "E" before laugh.gif
why do you say the 14" rims robbed you of 20km? blink.gif isn't bigger rims suppose to help with distance a little?

did forget to tell us about your turbo?brows.gif Maybe that's why 170km for 65 bucks is completely out of this world!! shocking.gif

I can do 550km on RM70/36litres of petrol. And averages at 15km/litre with mixed highway and city driving. Not surprising at all wink.gif

bigger rims suppose to give you better grip and handling but from 13" to 14" not much different, fuel won't be affected but it depends

young_soul : Not every car will perform the same. Some cars can get low FC and some high FC. Theoratically, the auto cars like the Wira 1.6 comes with 4 gears, the 4th gear will help a lot smile.gif

OH ya, i also did some minor modification to my air intake (not quite a cold air intake) cuz i've shorten the air intake pipe length. And i've also changed my stock paper filter to HKS super hybrid filter. maybe tat's the key to a better fuel efficiency. The stock air intake setup really sucks doh.gif

Urs is currently a 1.5, can go for maximum of 1.8, why not consider 4G93/93t gsr, or at least 4G92 Mivec? sad.gif
*
good suggestion thom chai but i think 4g91 is enough, i dont have that much money.. considering the halfcut price is getting higher nowadays esp the mivec.. and also the fuel price..... sick.. shakehead.gif
