is the asus ux32 worth a buy? between this ultrabook zenbook series vs the other model the k46cm which one is better? from specs both seems to be identical

Since you did not mention your usage, I'll just summarize:

- If you want a larger size ultrabook with good GPU power for gaming, then the K46. Comes with optical drive as well~
- If you want relatively longer battery life and lightness, yet still capable of a little bit of gaming, then the UX32

Like I said, it depends on whether you need a performance laptop (usually for engineering, architect and bioinformatic students), or just a normal ultrabook (student who only do office work and powerpoints etc.), the info you provide is not very clear

The M840 runs on a quad core i7 processor, which is way overkilled for your usage, and its out of your budget as well..
The Envy 4 is an ultrabook instead, which is of a different category- ultrabooks are basically laptops that are made with slimness and lightness in mind, at the expense of performance, so the processors inside are weaker, even if its an i3, i5 or i7.

Ivy Bridge is the codename for Intel's current range of processors.
The Envy 4 is running on an earlier version, termed Sandy Bridge...

The Asus would be a little bit overkilled here since the GPU is quite powerful but you're not exactly using it haha XD
The Dell and the HP, on the other hand, have relatively weaker CPU...
I would recommend you to go for the Lenovo S400 sinceits more balanced in terms of specification and battery life
Perhaps you could deal with "devour" here, especially if you're based in PJ/KL.. he is a reputable and responsible seller, if  anything happens, he'll help out

thx bro but i've noticed 1 thing, all laptops you've suggested are all RM2k+, my budget states RM1.5k to 1.7k~

Hmm I am a pharmacy student (if that info even helps) Is an ultrabook sufficient for a student or should I get a performance laptop? I am also looking at laptops that are relatively fast..

The M840 sold in Harvey is i5 (they are selling i5 and i7 apparently) The price for M840 (i5) is about the same as HP 1035TU (i3)..so which laptop should I get? i5 or i3?

Having a faster CPU doesn't mean your laptop will be fast since the speed is bottlenecked by the HDD...

And I doubt the M840 (i5, if there is one) is similarly priced as the HP 1035TU
Are you sure its an M840 and not L840?

I don't think there is an M840 at RM2000...
You must be referring to the L840 which costs around RM2000... please be careful and research properly to avoid being conned

In terms of bang-for-buck, the 14R SE would be  your best bet, but the GPU is a bit too overkill if only for The Sims haha
