waa..just like in my mind aa.
Asus N56Vz-S3088V and Lenovo Y480(5934-7549)(freedos) and Lenovo Y480(5934-1372)(W7HP)
asus one got free backpack and subwoofer eh?
lenovo free dos then got free headset but the lenovo W7HP doesnt offer free headset?
but the performance between the asus and lenovo seems different at proc, screen size.what else eh?other pro and contra?
ventilation, reliability,?worry about overheating here.because i seldom saw people using lenovo compare to asus and acer.

Y480 is the best pick for its best price/performance with higher core i7 & better GT650M(GDDR5) than N56vz GT650M(DDR3).
Y480 freeDOS or W7HB both come with Lenovo P950 headset valid till 30/9/12 while stock last. Y480(freeDOS) bundle with free backpack.
*
gt650 for n56vz is ddr3 while y480 is gddr5?
looks like im getting the lenovo one lah. laugh.gif
so the free gifts for Y480(freeDOS) and Y480(W7HP) are same except the W7HP doesn't offer free backpack? hmm.gif

Why would you want to pre-order?
Just use the codes stated in the recommendations, those are serial numbers for a particular laptop
*
because no stock.need to order first.ask the shop got g480 oni.what is the right term eh?my mistake

Added on September 21, 2012, 7:53 pmLenovo Y480(5934-7549) it is right?the freeDOS,save cost. laugh.gif

I recalled seeing one last weekend at LYP laugh.gif

Anyway, you could always PM and preorder from "devour", he is a reliable seller, won't get conned one brows.gif
*
im afraid it is almost impossible because im in terengganu.therefore,it's a bit risky to do postage aa.
i asked the shops how long i need to wait for pre order.some said 2-3 days, while other shops said 2-3 weeks.
big diff there.why aa?

Added on September 21, 2012, 8:30 pmbut i notice the FreeDOS version using i7 3630qm while the W7HP using i7 3610qm.am i right?

Hello fellow humanoid of the universe notworthy.gif

If you really need to buy now, then the only pick would be the Y580 nod.gif
15.6"
Lenovo Y580, i7-3630QM + Nvidia GTX660M + 1920x1080 @RM2999[JBL], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W7HBasic, backlit keyboard, 2 yrs warranty, P950 headset
Though I would suggest you to wait if you can, new and more powerful laptops will surely be released from time to time..
The upcoming Lenovo Y400/500 are worth waiting for too: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2491914
*
y400/500 look nice wor.but it doesnt have dvd drive a?and what doest it mean by ultrabay?didnt quite understand rclxub.gif

Based on what I understand, yes laugh.gif
But there's really not much details at the moment... so just have to wait...

I doubt it'll be RM2k only because of the unique design.... I'm guessing around RM3-4k for one, excluding ultrabay components hmm.gif
*
hmm..done some research on it.starting price will be $649 which is around 2k.staritng price meh..actual price maybe like u said laa.around 3k-4k

just go with y480 laa like this wink.gif

dear sifus.after recommendations u gave me,i still confuse la.
u did suggest y480,yes it's in my budget but i dont think i'll fully utilize the i7 proc.and sure i'll be wasting my money there.
so i5 should be sufficient for me with same powerful gpu like y480.

you will utilize it in 2 years time. consider that as part of future investment tongue.gif

there's no laptop with GT650M GDDR5 with Core i5 and cheaper than Y480.

*
still..few hundred bucks is a big money for me..
thinking of dell inspiron 14r.it does come with backlit keyboard right?

This is the only rival nod.gif
Lenovo Z480, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT640M@RM2399, 4GB, 1TB(5400rpm) W7HB, colors: grey/red/blue
*
inspiron 14r around 2k only right?there's 300 bucks different here.
proc, gpu same right?windows same too or not?
the only difference i can see here is the HDD capacity and speed.
about the design, which one more slim?more professional look?
seriously dont know which one to buy. hmm.gif
