Dell
Inspiron 15R, i7-3612QM +AMD HD7670M@RM2599[2.65kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm)
Inspiron 15R (Special Edition), i7-3612QM + AMD HD7730M@RM2799, 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm); backlit keyboard optional

ASUS

if gaming is your main concern, N56VZ is better here.. and for multimedia. good all rounder i must say.

Hi,

what would your suggestion if looking for the requirement below?
1) Weight: < 1.5kg (major concern)
2) i3 would be preferrable. burget concern
3) 13.3" would be preferrable.

If you're talking about gaming performance, these are undisputed at that price range.

Lighter, Lenovo Y480 iinm.
Better in temperature/cooler, Asus N56VZ as it is running on i5, less heat generated.

thanks, i made up my mind for y480 smile.gif, any recommendation where to buy this laptop near alor setar?

I'm considering 2 laptop and having hard time to decide rclxub.gif :-
HP Pavilion G4-2110tu (W7HP) VS Asus A43SD-VX428 (dos)
I does not care much about the window OS, i can purchase the software and install later....

1. Preferred Brand : Asus VS HP
2. Budget: both are +- RM1500
3. Usage : for assignment (microsoft office), watching movies and surfing internet.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: both are 14 inch.

Any advice on choosing the 2? hmm.gif

Thanks in advance smile.gif

The HP would be the better pick because it comes with an OS (which will save you the hassle of installing everything yourself nod.gif), also, its running on Ivy Bridge processor, which is relatively newer~ The G4 has better speakers too~

The Asus has more color options, and 2 years international warranty though..

For 14":

Lenovo Y480(5934-1372), i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650(GDDR5)@RM2699[JBL], 4GB(1600mhz), 500GB(5400rpm), backlit keyboard, W7HB, 2 years international warranty
Dell Inspiron 14R (Special Edition), i7-3612QM + Nvidia GT640M(28nm Kepler)@RM2799[2.38kg], 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm); backlit keyboard optional

For 15":

Asus N56Vz-S3088V, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT650M@RM2699[Bang&Olufsen], 4GB, 750GB, W7HP, subwoofer and backpack
Dell Inspiron 15R (Special Edition), i7-3612QM + AMD HD7730M@RM2799, 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm); backlit keyboard optional

For good performance, I think all can achieve that.
For good sound, all have pretty good speakers, Asus have a subwoofer icon_rolleyes.gif

The prices may have dropped so do check them out smile.gif

Brand: Any
Budget: About 2k
Usage: Mainly web browsing, occasionally movies
Size: Preferably 14 inch

Prefer lightweight and long battery life. (Think poor man's Macbook lol)
I do not need pre-installed Windows since I usually use Ubuntu.
