Very intrigued with what cstkl1 has achieved. Im not a technical person and have some problems trying to understand certain jargons but I may have some idea on what cstkl1 trying to convey. Will try with Avidemux. Would be very nice if a guide can be posted as Im sure a lot of ppl are interested. Of course questions definitely will be asked but I guess this is what the forum is for right?
What I can understand is that if you have downloaded 1080p movies likely it will be in mkv container with video encoded with AVC while supporting various formats for audio. And the aim is to convert to iTunes-friendly m4v. And to do that no need to change the video encode (if it is AVC) but need to change audio as m4v supports AAC and AC3 only. Am I right so far? So I will try to do that with Avidemux (Or is there any other better option?)
Will update later (with questions definitely).

fair enough. Although if thats the case would just get a 720p version of mkv's for ure vids.

Doing a project now.
For Raid Redemption 1080p. Theres no mkv rips that has dual audio with english subs. Instead of reencoding a 50gb bdrip.

Took legion copy. He has two one mkv with english audio, the other with indonesian with subs in english. He is also using header stripping on audio. Extracting each of the audio from both mkv's ( video size for both is the same) and resyncing it.

Think i am the first to have The Raid redemption i 4 audio streams ( 2 language in stereo/surround) with dual sub english and indonesian

Voila! Did a conversion with avidemux. Great! Appeared in my iTunes. Now my problems

1) As quoted above how to get stereo (AAC) and surround (AC3) together? Resyncing? How the hell u do that?
2) And how to get subtitle in? Closed caption preferred. Saw somewhere recommending mp4box.

Once I get these 2 questions answered, Im sorted! biggrin.gif
