actually all latest sammy rom are stable, lpf,lpg,lps
neat,wanam,sensation all very good. just minor difference from each other.

anyone using samsung ics roms?

when you phone got any app force close, does it become a blank black screen, only left the status bar, tap anything also not responding, totally hang. only power button respond, can lock and unlock. other than that cant do anything.

wait about 15seconds like that, then notification pop out say xxx app has force close, then can choose report and dismiss that notification.

this happens alot during early build of sammy ics.
but since LPF, this very very rarely happens. but it still does.

recently help my gf flash her sgs2 into sensation rom.
she first time encounter this kind of fc, get so pissed off ask me to flash back GB for her.

how come no one complain about this, or even raise up this issue?

is it just affect my unit and my gf unit?

its a clean install, got wipe cache and dalvic,
after us TB restore ONLY user apps,
got wipe cache and dalvic again let it optimize.

but still got this long fc hang 15 seconds problem.

anyone else face this issue?
aokp and aosp got this prob?

just wait, you'll definitely have it.
its a force close symptom.

no matter how stable your rom, sometimes an app will cause force close.
and when something force close, you will see what i mean.

it doesn happen frequently, in fact its very very rare.
but when it does happen, damn frustrating.

zetaROM is what version? based on which build?
4.0.3? 4.0.4? LPF,LPG,LPS?

is this global ics issue or just affect sgs2?

now samsung ics latest is LPS, newer than LPG, not sure it got improve or not.
i saw in XDA russia got 4.0.4, but staying away from 4.0.4 cos sked emmc bug.

ressurection rom look good. there is a video at the xda thread showing its features.

the animations are from jellybean kind, the fly up and fly in type.
looks not bad. will download it and try soon.

hope it doesn have unlock vibration. but chances are low, as far as i remember, aosp and aokp cant off that vibration. only paranoid got option to turn off lock screen vibration.

want to ask about S2 and note brick bug, or the emmc hard brick thingy.

at first i thought it affect 4.0.4, but notice all aokp also in 4.0.4

is it this bug just affect sammy based 4.0.4, where you cant use cwm.
because once use cwm then will brick,

nowadays people dont save to phone or sim already,
save all your contacts to google contacts(online).

this way when you change phone or your phone spoil, your contact stays with you.

in contacts, go to settings, import/export,
export all to sd card,

this will create a .vcf file in your sd card

copy that file to your pc.

open a browser in pc, go to google contacts,
www.google.com/contacts/

log in, upload the .vcf file to google contacts

then on your phone do a contact sync.
after that you can delete all the contact in your phone memory so that it wont show duplicates.

CM9 will never reach stable version, they wont satisfy one.
even after stable version, will always have newer builds.
confusing rom, better try aokp, more features in rom control

cm9 every day got nightly. like a drug,
makes you wana check daily, or update 3/4 times a week



oh ya wana ask, possible to flash normal gapps into paranoid rom?

i'm using sammy ics rom with siyah kernal.
i like siyah and dont plan to change kernal,

but siyah is messing with the stock battery monitor history thing.
it no longer show which app use how many % of the battery.

can BBS do this?
just a simple info on what app use how many %.

i look through it, it gives me lots of graphs, wake locks etc...

wow, this is a very very very useful app.
check out this video.

its just 1 minute, explains what it does, and has the QR code for market download link.

basically if you are on a full screen app, you will lose your status bar.
with this app, you can bring down the status bar even though its hidden.

i never though i would try an aokp rom.
because i like samsung touch wiz stuff.
but lately the long force close hang/delay is really pissing me off

so went to find some other roms.
CM9 is just so plain empty and feature deprived.

so went to check aokp.
turned out that ressurection remix rom is amazing!

i hate the lock screen vibration on CM9, and aokp roms.
but in ressurection remix can disable it with this simple mod

i need the diodict english dictionary, its free from samsung apps, so aokp and aosp dont have it.
but in ressurection remix can choose samsung apps from aroma installer.
i even got the touch widz task manager as well

i rely heavily on touch wiz clock app. since it has count down timer function.

siyah doesn cause the stock battery history monitor to screw up like it does in sammy ics.

wow...i just love this ressurection remix rom.
no wonder it has close to 7millions views in xda.

also, it has jellybean animations, when switch apps from recent apps, its silky smooth.

there's nice option to add on screen buttons also.
really not bad.

hi all, i'm very new to aokp/aosp roms.

in the dialer, is there no way to set speed dial?
example long press 2 and it will call a contact.
only samsung roms have this feature?

in dialer settings, got a thing called TTY mode.
can choose
-TTY off
-TTY full
-TTY HCO
-TTY VCO

what is this TTY option?
