Does anyone face concentrator not reachable problem for Thomson RG? How do you solve it?

for highrise, if you use telephone line, tm guy needs 5 minutes to setup port, then another 5 minutes to setup modem... maxis guy takes another 5 minutes to setup thomson router... roughly 20 minutes if no problem... most likely you would have problem with the voip which is not up

but for some highrise, they do pull fibre cable into the house, then time taken is as long as the landed one

for highrise, the 20 minutes is setting up time, but waiting time for tm guy to arrive could be more than 1 hours.... why? because they have at least 10 intsallation per day(up to 30 per day at times)

for landed tm guy is normally on-time because they can only do 2 or so installation per day... but their commissions per installation is 3x more than the highrise

Thomson's wifi coverage is so weak....I'm trying to use my old streamyx router Innacomm W3100 to use as a repeater. Any1 tried this before? any idea how can this be done?

Just curious, do anyone of you guys submitted application for more than 1 times? If so, do you get multiple initial RM0.00 bill with different account number and reference ID? I submitted 3 applications. 2 of them was said to be "missing". And as far as from CS, they only have my info after my 3rd submission. Installation date is yet to reach and now I wonder if the installer will come multiple times.

maxis just came and installed, tested the speed is good locally. upload speed to oversea server is not as good, tested on singapore server, got about 2~6 kbps upload speed.

I got tons of it under the event logs System

I suspect it's the xDSL linestate down now being masked as the above message under the System instead of the Connections.

Do you have any devices with the following MAC ID?
a0:88:b4:d6:ea:28

nope, i only have ipad to access wireless, nothing else and i turn it off, but the message still appear

reached 1MBps for BT.

one of your neighbours tried to access your wifi lah, but can't get through.....

No lah, the wifi signal don't even pass thru my kitchen.

It looks like being hard coded into the router, will happened every few minutes, non-stop for hours since I switch on my router.

Impossible being someone trying accessing.

Most probably you guys may have this as well, but never notice. Go check your event logs, choose system.

The frequency and behavior is exactly like xDSL linestate down.

What does xDSL linestate down(green light mean good?) and concentrator not reachable means exactly? It down several times but still can connect to internet?

The line is down actually but you can't feel it because it only disconnected a few seconds. But it keep on disconnected every 5 minutes or so, it is disturbing if you're doing work.

You can't solve it. Concentrator down means the connection between the main server where all the VDSL equipment at your building is connected to is cut off.

Since they use TM backbone to connect back to Maxis concentrator server, they know better about the problem.

Modem => VDSL2 DSLAM => Concentrator

Maybe TM doing maintenance there.

Have you find out what is the source of the MAC ID yet? Every MAC ID must have a source coming from somewhere.

I know the Mac id a0:88:b4:d6:ea:28... But don't know what device it is... Anyway this message appear after my thomson router being changed yesterday by Maxis technician

But aside from iPad, I've no other devices... The message is showing even of I off my iPad... Anyway, my iPad can connect to the wireless with no problem.

The only instances it stop is when I switch off the wireless broadcast by untick the 'broadcast network name' box in Thomson router wireless setting.

But the moment I switch on my wireless back, the message appear immediately... Could it be possible for the Thomson router be hard coded with certain automatic wireless connection?

I don't know until you yourself figure out the MAC ID of your Thompson router(please don't reveal it here on the forum).

You sure no one walks around into your kitchen or home with a smartphone or something?

another way is to not broadcast your ssid and also change the name. if there is still that mac address than its probably the router.

a0:88:b4 is Intel's OUI. Intel based network device is attempting to access your router.

Hi just a tips to share with you all

I have seperated my TM modem(to fiber cable) and Maxis router with Homeplug (LAN power adaptor) to save the extra charge, since the tmnet hub near my kitchen and I would have my router install in living room.

latency is not really noticeable
