Ah the good old FF6 nostalgia ...

awts, too bad we can't participate in the Eorzean Egg decoration contest though.

They just made tweaking to the graphic it seems . The graphics are looking more sharp and crisp now , flashy spell effects are more prominent and the shadow quality as well.

But I am no longer getting very consistent frame rate , running on a 3770k and gtx 670.

It can go from 60 steady fps down to below 10 at very crowded place .
Not to the point it is unplayable but I am guessing that they overtuned it.

Given that most people wouldn't have uber updated gaming spec ,
I can't ever imagine what it actually takes to play this game on laptop with acceptable frame rate.

Especially if you want a little perk on the graphics settings.

hmm i don't notice the lag/low fps drop thou, running high settings.

How much fps do you usually get on ?

The fps drop isn't particularly obvious because it doesn't drop below the unplayable level.


If you have been consistently running the game on 60 fps however, it will be very noticeable .
It can drop below 20 and 10 at crowded places .

I am suspecting the culprit is the extra tuning they did to the shadow , the frame rate dropping seems to be less severe when all shadow is set to low and turned off .

been keeping it oon 60 fps.. hmm lol

That one is setting not the actual frame rates... but ours would be at a comfortable 30~5X fps, not sure how low would it drop if it's at really crowded area.

Well i found out that the lag was related to chat log... lol...
