I saw online dat sometimes it might be overgrown root of the molar tooth....
I think mine is dat case...
Cuz her inscissors r ok.. But ard her lower jaw look swollen..
Life vet gave antibiotic to help the swelling..cuz they cant c inside..
No difference. Also gv eyedrop.. Dat im still using for her left eye. Stil not closing.
Shes eating well n good appetite..i gave her very soft food... N clean her twice daily cuz still drooling n eye discharge abit cuz cant close..

Shes still skinny but very active n screaming for food.

Hope urs r better now.. I hope hv vet dat r better in handling smaller animals..

after vet give antibotic he is still not eating.. skinny,, no so active but can run around lagi..
i when to 3 vet and back to the original since other 2 langsung have no idea how to treat small animal..

today going to bting him to injection ( vet say if finish the antibiotic still not eating need injection liau )

Not sure how many owners face this , guinea pig teeth falling off and new ones growing out underneath.

I check my pig's teeth daily and yesterday it seemed a little skittish and afraid to be taken out of its cage. It couldn't even chew its favourite grass or vege leaves. So I checked its teeth and the two front teeth looked like it was snapped. It was snapped near to the gum area but the teeth was still dangling there.

My dad brought it to the vet this morning and the dangling teeth was no longer there. The vet said that the teeth will fall off periodically and new ones will grow out from under. It's completely normal and there's nothing to worry about.

Just thought I'd share it.

Hmm..i know one of my GP's teeth suddenly fall off, terus cause it infection hmm... had to gave him antibiotics and everything ><"

Ah p pass away on xmas eve.. My 1st ever guinea pig.. Only last for 19 month..

Cry whole night.. This morning bring him back to home town to bury him...

Hi all GP sifus, I just bought 2 young GP (3-4 weeks old). Noticed that they scratch a bit (mild, not heavy scratching), and found someone selling item below claiming to be non toxic and good for fleas / mites / etc....

Perma-Guard Pure Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE, also known as diatomite and fossil shell flour)

Has anyone tried the above before and is it effective as claims if use according to the instruction?

lol the size of what? i click the picture it gets blown up haha! Guinea pig see gene..that guinea pig is overseas guinea pig means his gene is very good therefore can grow at enormous sizes haha.... i got two better breed guinea pigs also guite big, weighing 800grams ++ but two other guinea pig american i buy from pasar malam only 600+ grams...maybe they kena inbreeding too much dats why small size and weigh less hm

any of you guys guinea pig able to sit on your lap quietly while you guys watch movie? Only creature I know is sugar glider & they will cuddle with you but wondering how about guinea pig.

haha this depend on guionea pigs personality... some can some cannot. Mine some will diam diam sit there....some wah run here run there haha...but guinea pig canot tahan their shit and pee...the most 5-10 miutes only....so not suitable to do dat haha...unless u got towel or something preparend underneath =D

oh dayum, putting towel is ok lor but 1 movie is like 1hr++ usually so keeping the guinea pig on my lap wont be suitable then haha...later the towel will be soaked with pee...

thinking of keeping a guinea pig or hedgehog in few months time, my hamster pass away last month...now everyday stare at my tank feel so empty lol...

haha..guinea pig are great creatures as they really intereact with you! They will know u, can identify ur sound...etc etc, reaqlly cute ler..many breeds and coloiurs and patterns and i bet its nicer to pet than hedgehog haha...u can put it beside u...den if it want to pee and poop it will tell u de...den u put one side...let it do its business...den take it back...haha~

I not sure the size but my gp weight almost 900g.. heard some kl owner gp weight max 1500g!!


ya~ depend on personality, i got 1 wont pee or poo when i put him inmy bed and he will sit still for few minute ( scare i guess)~

got another one he just poo and pee and run non stop

but for 1 hours i guess susah abit la.. normally after 1 let them run around while watching movie..
