hi,
how's everyone's piggies doing? Henry says hi from Vietnam :3 just sharing some new pics - Henry recently got me started with balcony gardening. All greens were used to feed him ![]() The official sponsor of fertilizer for the garden. ![]() Mekong cucumbers grew really fast, but vanished very fast once I started feeding him, haha. ![]() Fresh lettuce from the garden. These days he flops like a fish when he hears me opening the door to the balcony - he knows I'll be back with food every time |

They always run away when i try to pet them x.x' what should i do everyone else gp seems very tame and friendly, huhu....please help =___= GPs tend to be very timid animals, in forming bond and trust with them, try not to scare them (ie chasing after them or backing them into a corner in order to pet them lol), but instead, coax them to come to you instead! Here's what I did to form a bond with my guinea pig - find a food that he LOVES (he goes crazy over cherry tomatoes), call his name from the side of the cage (make sure he can smell the food), wait for him to come over to you and then feed him. Over time, when he starts taking food from me, I gradually start stroking him with my other hand as he nibbles on the food from me (I will keep holding the food as he nibbles instead of tossing it onto the floor). After more time, I get him to sit on my lap and spend more time with him (petting, feeding). And then trust is formed! The end result: This post has been edited by grhunter: Nov 21 2012, 01:28 PM |

Hello again everyone. These are my guinea pigs.
![]() From the top, Brownie, Muffin, Mochaboy and Peanut. I dont really know about their breeds but I believe that they are the american short hair except Brownie which is abbysinnian I think. Just wondering, what treatment can be used if they had static mites like it is glued to their furs? Another thing, what brand of pellet is the best to feed them? Thank you |

QUOTE(yahiko @ Nov 23 2012, 02:06 PM) Okay I will go check with my vet again whether he can get it for me or not. How to apply ah? Did it all go away with just a single treatment or must repeat it several time? I think the mite is all over their fur like someone had sprinkled black peppers on them |

One of my piggies, Moz passed away this morning
Not really sure what happened, but it should be my fault because he coughed once in a while yet he ate well slept well played well, so I didn't take any action. Now, either I put Manny (the other one) up for adoption, or I find another one to accompany him. What should I do |
