Just added another 4gb ram to my laptop from it king shop, he wasn't there when I went. Still have 8 units there but all booked

hey is it possible that the S1131V comes with a bluray..?? if i am not wrong it only comes with a dvd right..?? or can you custom order it...???

seems like my dealer in jb stil have one stock...selling at 4200...but i am not gonna buy from him ultil he gives me 3999...yesterday he told me he only got 1 stock..now he got another stock again...and only 1...

My place ordered 2 cauze another friend of mine ordered too and he also got the call saying by friday he will get it...but he said to me that his comes with a bluray but he only paid 3999...

waliu.. wtf is wrong with this logic sense. book later get sooner than those who booked 2months aogl. wtf.

8GB RAM is the way to go my friends. 4GB not enough one. I took 4GB 1600 High Performance Kingston from itking when I got G55VW directly lol

ykgen, in order to run in dual channel, you need to slot in 2 rams at the same channel slots.

Meaning, the maintenance rams slot is channel 1. The non accessible ram slot is channel 2.

So what you are doing now is having 2 ram on 2 different channel. So that is why you are not in dual channel. The only way to rectify this is:-

i) Buy another ram with the same size and speed and put into your maintenance ram slot. (12GB RAM total)
ii) Open up the non accessible ram slot and put in your new ram to make it dual channel (8GB RAM total)
iii) Same as ii but pull it out and put into your maintenance ram slot to make it dual channel (8GB RAM total)

Hope this helps.

PS: RAM must be same size and speed, else dual channel won't activate. Brands usually wont be an issue but recommended same brand. That is why Dual Channel RAM they sell in pairs. Still wont be a big issue.

ii)mSATA 64GB - Didnt research and dunno what brand is good. Afraid of the BSOD that SSD user is experiencing.

has anyone ever seen a DUAL fan in a g55? care to share? im curious wether g55 have dual fan o not.. i only seen g75 with an actual DUAL fan..

i heard from experience that ITKing actually provide the service.. so won't hve to worry the warranty void.. have to ask him first.. coz have nearly the same plan as u..but not so ambitious laa. haha

i) 4 x 4 gb kingston or corsair performance ram (16gb enough for ppl like me)
ii) mSATA (dunno also which msata is good .. but i think go for corsair one also.. 60 gb good enough only for OS... lol)
iii) but i dont i need the big foot n killer.. haha...

all this after i get my G55 + i got extra cash.. so slowly upgrade 1 by 1
