eh why so low 1? oh, u use cooling pad. hav u moved the hdd? i'll rather save the $ to get an ssd

the placement of y480 & y580's hdd is between the CPU & GPU, so it gets heat up very fast, changing to ssd will help u get lower hdd temps
yes moving the hdd to the dvd slot is a good option, but please be aware that the dvd slot is limited to SATAII (not that it would matter if u use hdd since hdd can't saturate SATAII anyway)

what is the current hdd connection? is sata2 slower than that?

The correct HDD connection is the current using one, that one is SATA III...
but as the default HDD is SATA II only, so move to ODD place just fine

oh that means the orig hdd is just sata2, so is not fully utilizing sata3 anyway.

but if we ssd, it would be sata3 right? hmm that'd be great!

BTW as Apple's GT650M level is already over GTX660M, got somebody manage to get that BIOS and install to our GT650M? biggrin.gif

But seems like Lenovo lock them already....

I may be able to help out on the GT650M clock settings.
Not really that familiar yet with voltage though.
