QUOTE(jeschong @ Jun 21 2012, 10:37 AM) get PP (made in taiwan) as it is much expensive than ABS and PU if i'm not wrong. ABS can be cracked easier coz the material is so hard and thin. PU's design looks nicer for the side skirting if you have compared it with PP before, some more PU b/kit got FORTE badge on it; pretty cool. however i still got the PP b/kit Added on June 21, 2012, 10:54 am QUOTE(craxors @ Jun 21 2012, 10:35 AM) which part of the joint? the bottom one? next time got chance, take a snap shot and share with us This post has been edited by Intel@Atom: Jun 21 2012, 10:54 AM |

Hi Guys,
My forte 1.6sx is going for 1k service next week. Which Service centre has the best record to settle the pull left issue? Also i read there's two option for the engine oil? Petronas and Shell? Which one is better? Thanks for your input. BTW, I'm loving my Forte! |

I think it is a feature when you turn off the AC and allow external air to come in.This is especially important when you park your car and turn off the engine so that the cabin has some air circulating. |

QUOTE(Ah_Bear @ Jun 21 2012, 12:08 AM) I would suggest you to keep the stock ones rather you need to fork out extra cash for new What about the comfortable? I'm sure it would be a lot better right? I'm thinking to downgrade to 16" as well.16 inchers with new set of tyres.. my car now clocking apx. 5,070km and my 90% city drive FC improved to avg 8.8liter/100km from max 12liter/100km before 4k km mileage.. i guess the 2.0 with 17 inch rims doesn't cause really bad FC thou.. |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Jun 21 2012, 10:10 AM) Most people downsize their rims to get a thicker one (50 or 55 instead of the stock 45) for a relatively more comfortable ride. However some do downsize for lighter rims for slight improvement in acceleration. Yupp..u're right. I'm fall in this category. Prefer comfortable right & better acceleration. So i opted for a lightweight 16" rims with 55 in tire profile. Regarding the FC for my case, for long distance driving with mostly constant speed, the FC is the same from my observation (between 17" & 16" rims). But for mostly town driving with many stop & go situation, my current lightweight 16" rims give better FC than the original 17" rims.Generally speaking, FC depends on your right foot. If you use smaller rims but still floor the pedal like a madman, the FC will still skyrocket. |

Could i find out how much it costs to downgrade from from 17' to 16' ones? I know it probably varies by dealer, so how much was your downgrade? Funny, would have thought it would cost less. Also, is it really THAT uncomfortable to have the 17' wheels? Ie, will your buntut really sakit after being in the car for too long? |

my loan approves and waiting for the bank to call me to sign the agreement letter. white 1.6sx for my wife.
if i change to 16'' rims, would it void warranty? wifey did alot of travel for her work. so lower FC and more comfortable ride is better. |

If u prefer a comfortable ride, as like me, downgrading to 16" rims with a tire profile of 55 will do the trick.Added on June 21, 2012, 3:29 pm QUOTE(little_orc @ Jun 21 2012, 03:22 PM) If u refer to the user's manual, if we use 16" rims, the correct tyre size would be 205/55 so that the effect on the odo & speedometer is keep to very minimal. I've double check this with my onboard GPS last time, the difference is about 1-2km/h onlyThis post has been edited by izputra: Jun 21 2012, 03:32 PM |

Ok, my question is - does 17 inch on the forte make it really the car really uncomfortable?I can understand if you want to make the car more comfortable by swapping to 16', but is 17' really so bad? I was just afraid if i didn't change the 17' ones that came in the 2.0 that my buntut will sakit each time after driving the car. Which defeats the purpose of getting a fairly good car in the first place. If its acceptable then i guess like you i will just drive slower la. I'm a slow driver to start with anyway. |
