just got my Y480 (i7, 8GB, GT650M) from LYN

but having problem creating more partition

i got the "cant support dynamic smth"

anyone facing same issue?

just delete the partition and recreate it

does anyone have installed msata ssd+hdd???is it working?what i mean is, if we buy y580 without msata ssd,can we install msata ssd into it??

cant. my laptop comes with 4 partition
Windows, OS, Lenovo (drivers. the sales person say contains driver for 1-click-recovery), and another "Healthy OEM Partition"

4 partition is ady max partition u can make...
And actually u can redownload the driver ur self if u want and reformat urself, the OEM partition will recreate after u reformat it

So the partition labeled "Lenovo" is safe to remove?
the one click restore still can work after that?

I'm bought FreeDOS version and the Windows is installed myself, ya the One key restore still can function even u reformat urself
But if u no confident to do that please don't do

whats the current price for Y580? with 8gb ram?

u can refer back to previous post that we discuss about how to make the partition.
simply said is window partition manager can only can create 4 partition, which is the maximum, u hav to either use a 3rd party software to create more partition, or delete the lenovo oneKey app partition and create the partition using window partition manager.
Or, mayb u want a SSD and HDD combo

Dear all users of y480/y580,

I have bought Y480. wifi (wireless) connection very slow and the line keep on drop.

there is 3 network adapters:
Atheros AR8161/.......Ethernet controller
Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adaptert

2 of them (Atheros LAN and Miniport) are disconnected status and Broadcom is connected.

my question here is:
1. should i Disable Miniport adapter? will this impact my slow connection?
2. when setup wireless connection, we MUST put the network location (home/public/business)?

1st time using win7 too.

1. No need. Won't impact.
2. Either one is fine, if you want to share files to your network, choose Home.

Try uninstall the antivirus McAfee..

already uninstalled any anti virus software. now the laptop is without anti virus software. lolx

When look at properties under the SSID i connected, there is a "Enable WLAN", this 1, need to check it?
