My small wish
1. The Exora come with brighter head light (nice for going beyond 140kmh at night smile.gif )
2. The tapping signal is too short (5 blinks), would be nicer if it can be adjusted to say 15 blinks.
3. Change position of the autocruise - at times fingers hitting while driving...

Your hands should be placed at the upper part of the steering wheel. So what is your hands doing down under? rclxub.gif
I did a little searching and found it interesting.
The traditional position is the 10-2 position.
With airbags, 9-3 is recommended so arm not caught by exploding air bags.
Some goes as far as 8-4. So I presume you are using this?

*
Yupe, I'm using 8-4 in the hi-way(esp in the straight line) Felt more n not so tiring..
My fingers hit the autocruise during cornering or making u turn..

Btw, thx for the info, bro...

AFAIK, amount that much only applies to CPS model. No official discount for CFE unless the salesman want to give you his commission out of his own pocket but even then, no way 1.5K.
*
Possible! My sis in-law booked a CFE unit two months ago, juz got her EB 3 day ago. She told me
the SA is her very close friend la.. According to her, every branch have RM2.6k to play around, woh..
(not so sure tho'...) And every 10 cars sold, they will get some bonus $$ from Proton..
As for me, I got RM800 bucks discount plus full tank, was booked in the month of Dis 2011 rolleyes.gif

last sat installed 95% IRR tint

now my wife and kids so enjoy the car. car parked under super hot sun for a few hours, very fast cool down

and most of the time have to turn off aircond during driving, just air only enough  rclxms.gif
*
Bro, that's pretty cool.. like to know if u installed IRR tint on the existing tint or did u remove the tint
that comes together with ur EB?? Thinking of installing too, coz the existing one is not as good..
How much does it cost u??

i dont think its tire issue, its either
1- they replace something big and dont want to admit the car is crap
2- they replace the tire and increase the left tire air pressure and decrease the right tire pressure so that they can trick me and the car will go to the right equalizing the left pull that's why b4 i test drive i will request to adjust the pressure myself and i will ask them to show me the camber in case they used and camber screw to modify. ill try to investigate myself b4 signing the release form (my car was collected from me on May 2012) they already drive my car more than 1000k and minor scratches  mad.gif
*
very irresponsible ppl !! mad.gif by doing tis, it endangering peoples life, man.. uneven tire pressure
can cause unbalance to the vehicle!! vmad.gif
really sorry for u bro..

Reading up the experiences by the actual owners of the EB CFE is so enriching. This is why I'm going to wait for many, many more months until the reliability problems especially with the engine is ironed out before I plonk money to buy one.

As rightfully mentioned above, proton said tested the engine for how many thousand kilometers pun, the actual owners still face engine problems. Go figure.
*
Yesterday, when I was driving in Ipoh town, my EB engine suddenly stalled!! Finally, after hearing someone from this
forum having this problem, I experience it myself.. Restart engine, it runs like normal again, while the choking is still
there when cooling fan switching on & off between intervals.
To be honest, I'm kinda disappointed with proton, this is my first proton & will i be thinking of giving proton another
chance?? My answer is.. "no way"
Juz think abt it, proton is already coming to 30 years old.. There are certain level of acceptance when we buy P, but
for this case, I don't think it is acceptable. Moreover, this is my 4th car, very seldom use, got my car during CNY, milage is 5k, OCV valve already changed once.. I noticed that my EB start to choke when the engine runs hot, normally
during noon..
So, Dinknight dude, be prepared if u still want to go ahead..

hi bro

your stalling is when idle ?
*
I think all our EB CFE symptom are the same, mine during idling the engine stopped right after it chokes..
I guessed most of us choose EB due to its space & attractive pricing, if only proton put more effort into it then
who can come close??
Come-on proton!! Wake up!! There are some issue here!!

didn't anyone complain about this when they go for service?
*
This is a known problem to proton. As u guys know, my 1st complain was when my EB getting from bad to worse.
First, experiencing hiccups (4K plus mileage), then choking (like missed firing), then having RPM going to maximum,
CVT light-up - experiencing turbo not working & air-con hot air, then my EB spend 2 weeks in the SC.
After that, they claim that OCV & some sort of sensor been changed.. Now, after one month, choking problem is
back..
Called up SC again, then they ask to send the car back loh.. Ask, for how long.. they said for few days..
So, do u guys think this is a small or a serious problem?? It'll be a big headache for those owner whose depending
only on one car.... shakehead.gif

OMG my car 2 months till now at service center and still cannot fix the left pull (alignment) i gave them the car 90km mileage and now your telling at 4000km it started chocking, how many days in 2012 am i gonna be able to drive this piece of shit  icon_question.gif
*
Dude, sorry to know that u oso hv the same fate.. If proton offer a new mpv with 6 years warranty, i will not
change my mind of buying one..
I did complain abt the alignment pulling to left before at toyota (camry). Not very obvious la.. They told me that
M'sian road are surface to certain radian (degree) towards the roadside, coz our country rains often, so water will
flow to the roadside rather than stagnant at the middle of the road. That's why we experiencing a bit of left pull..
How's yours, izit bad??

my left pull is so bad bro. if i leave the steering wheel ill find myself with the rain on the roadside lol, and thats why they are keeping my car at SC since MAY!, till now they change subframe, rear axle and whole set of tires but no use. they are still doing their experiments.  cry.gif and just yesterday i was told that my car is being transferred to the Research and Development department R&D. I hope the do the research and develop my car to become the first flying Exora in Malaysia  brows.gif
*
This is not good, man.. really need a full detail check when ur baby is back.. Well at least the inform u that ur EB
been transfered to R&D. As for me, they didn't even inform me that my EB been transfered to another SC, I had
to find out myself.. Flying Exora.. laugh.gif
But, I think ur problem is not the first, coz when I was in car accessories shop, a guy came to me, he is having a
first badge Exora(2009) asking me if I have alignment problem. He said he has a big issue regarding this & proton
has changed the whole rear axle.. Only then already settle. All the best, bro.. do keep us update..

I have always been skeptical but was willing to swallow my pride to buy an EB for the space and price factors alone, though I really, really value reliability above all else (which explains why my present and previous cars are japanese makes.)

I thought after some time, the EB issues would iron out, but instead got worse. I think I'm going to Hasta La Vista EB and seek alternatives.
*
I agree to what u said, while doing monthly installment n not able to use the car, visiting SC often.. well this is not
what i expected when I bought this car.. blink.gif
Thinking abt it, a colossal company which is coming to 30 years old, surely earned much respect from people,
including me initially..
As for me, i can accept small issues as mentioned in this thread, coz understand, every car has three thousands
over component, but for this, sorry to say, I can't accept.. doh.gif
No doubt, EB is a best value for money MPV.. If these issue been iron out earlier before launching, then EB will be
an excellent MPV.. dreaming..... yawn.gif

QUOTE(azlan83 @ Jul 3 2012, 09:50 AM)
There 2 major problem...one way valve (owv) and oil control valve (ocv)...

owv problem due to oil starvation at engine head as some oil slip from the owv inside. In reduce the klak2 sound...on the suis but do not start engine suddenly let it on for 10 to 20 sec as the oil pump will pump oil to head...also if start do not over crank it. just soft and release fast.

On the OCV is the main control system for CVT...what i know is this are the cause engine sudden die or stalling...maybe because of OCV malfuction...or there choking of oil on the system...servis center can changes it fast but for owv take at least 3 day as need to open engine head....
Be patience my fren all...i also suspect my car got owv problem but not so bad sound...wait till my 2nd servis to complaint...
*
Brotan dude, watch this, you'll be able to understand (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxmV8Qy805s)

Well, I do learned to delay start engine, even wait until airbag light off from day one i received my car.. My real worry
is, those valves that u have mention, it has been changed..
People likes to talk abt 1 badge is like this la.. we are the white mouse la.. I think my EB cfe is more like R&D stage..mad.gif
OMG.. now i'm turning into proton basher.. cry.gif

got it. will pay attention to this. btw, there is 1 dude said ...

Problem rectified. It was the "one way valve" that faulty...Oil drained through this valve, causing starvation of VVT.

means he found the issue or he solved it? and is that your car?
*
Ya, they rectified, good for one month.. Now, the problem is back again.. icon_question.gif
Felt like Proton use owner to do Beta test on our M'sian road..

Klate dude, maybe your badge already problem free leh.. I do had the same ride as yours (Unser 1.8) before, tis
baby had serving me 7 years (clock 245k km) b4 I decided to sell it off. Maybe I'm too optimistic, comparing Toyota
& Proton.. All that I remembered I replaced for this unser is a piece of rubber tube.. But again, comparison on the
ride, EB is so much comfortable.. nod.gif
Wonder why don't they juz dump in the mivec 2.0 engine??? brows.gif

Agree ... I bought the Unser in 2001, beside regular oil change what I can remember is patching up the radiator twice for small leak and a minor repair on throttle body to fix rought engine. Other than that the baby is trouble free even I abuse it kaw ...kaw ....  Push RPM close to red line everytime climbing hill on the way back to  Kelantan from Penang. It still serve me well till today, tu sayang nak let go even after getting the EB.
*
Agree with u 100%, bought tis baby coz my uncle had one 1.6 for 8 yrs, then he change to unser again, tis time
1.8LGX. So loyal, which triggers me to purchase one oso.. I oso abuse kaw-kaw.. & carry heavy-heavy stuff.. &
the road condition here in CH are worst than any other.. Wish our EB can perform like this.. dreaming... yawn.gif

By installing the locktech alone they oso asking, I told them "I installed the locktech without fixing the wiring" then
