QUOTE(peinsama @ Jun 4 2012, 02:28 PM) so when he jatuh, he terus tempang? persephone? Is it she also Odysseus wife? No la. Persephone is the daughter of Demeter and Zeus. Hades falls for her and kidnap her. After much negotiations and arrangements, they decide Hades could only marry Persephone if he let her to go out from underworld every 6 months alternately. So this creates Summer and Spring (when Persephone lepak with her mum) and Autumn/Winter when she goes back to Hades.

QUOTE(peinsama @ Jun 4 2012, 02:39 PM) yeah mang, kesian him That whore cheats on him, but he keeps it to himself and cry at the corner of the foundry? He turns his sorrow into the art of forging, as do composers and poets turn their feelings into forms or art... So maybe that was why Hephaistos was good in forging?

QUOTE(Magick Cauldron @ Jun 4 2012, 02:34 PM) lol... Hercules does look overpowered... I love Hermessssssss, just very sneaky.. There was this story about Hermes, not sure if it is a story mentioned in reliable sources or not.. There was a poor lumberer resting near a river. When he wanted to wash his axe (or something else, I forgot), he dropped his axe into the river, and couldn't get it back. As Hermes was watching, he went to the lumberer, and presented a golden axe to him. Hermes asked if the golden axe was the axe that he lost, but the lumberer answered no. Then Hermes presented another axe, a silver one, and asked if it was the lumberer's axe. To this, the lumberer answered no again. Then Hermes showed the lumberer his real axe, and the lumberer said that this was the axe that he lost. For the lumberer's honesty, Hermes gave the lumberer his axe back, and also the golden axe. The first Harvest Moon game also uses this myth. If you swing your your axe near the lake and the goddess ask whether the golden axe is yours, be honest and she will reward you the axe. If you lie you must pay the blacksmith to make golden axe.

I cant find real history of it, besides the nemean lion.

After much negotiations and arrangements, they decide Hades could only marry Persephone if he let her to go out from underworld every 6 months alternately. So this creates Summer and Spring (when Persephone lepak with her mum) and Autumn/Winter when she goes back to Hades. That's accurate but for one little part.. Hades let Persephone go unconditionally, but set a trap for her: he gave Persephone a seed(?) to eat before her leave, and Persephone ignorant of the effects of the seed, ate it and went back to her mother. Her mother told her that after having ate the seed, Persephone would have to return to the underworld for a period of time every year... It's interesting , isn't it.....

QUOTE(Balaclava @ Jun 4 2012, 02:48 PM) why no one talk about daedalus? Who is he? I know very little about the characters outside famous stories... QUOTE(emino @ Jun 4 2012, 02:54 PM) "... their death will be painless, swift,..." remarked Ares... sounds more proper if it was said by Apollo/Artemis. what goes around comes around i guess... Cronus overthrew Uranus with the help of Gaia.. Then Zeus overthrew Cronus and imprisoned the titans into the pit of Tartarus.
Funny thing is Cronus was the youngest of Titans same as Zeus which is the youngest of the Olympians ... Both overthrew their father ... LOL
The irony ..
But I'm more interested with Titans such as Hyperion, Atlas, Prometheus, Oceanus, Tethys, Rhea and etc ...
By the way Rhea is zeus's mother...hades and poseidon too
