oic, yup the kitchen is indeed great. no arguments there.
you check checkrom forum daily? if its out, be sure to give a shout out here, i wana try it also.
regarding EFS partition backup, what are the good apps to backup and restore.
the efs corrupt happened to me again.

i use GSII_repair to fix it.
i have backup my good partition using this app, but when i restore, it doesn work. still imei missing.
so i have to use the 3 step fix, tried many many times and reset many many times only it finally work.
such mental torture.

is there a good app that confirm 100% work first time during restore?
please let me know the name, i will go find in play store.

Haha, I only visit like 1-2 times/week. Just to get updates and such.
I never experienced lost of IMEI before but I'm always ready for it.
I used HC-kTool to backup, don't know it's reliability but I always used this.

So long mate, although I don't know who the hell are you.
Hope S2 had served you well.  laugh.gif

Yup, the S2 has been great and IS still a great phone.

I have given it to my family member to use. So, I might still drop by here to ask you sifus for help in the future.

Currently my SGS2 is running on Turkbey Rom V12 and it has been great.

Guys, last time G version has proximity sensor issue right?
My friend d proximity sensor always light up (red) during use, even the phone is not on call. His phone is updated to ICS also.
How do you guys solve this problem before?
Will sending to SC solve the issue?

At 'Settings' ---> Display ---> Brightness ---> Tick the Automatic Brightness.

It's not light sensor. Proximity sensor.

Percisely -.- Apparently, the proximity sensor and light sensor are on the same circuit board. Just use automatic brightness and you will see the proximity sensor ( red glow ) will be gone and back to its normal operation.

Edit: same chip on circuit board.

Try to key in this *#0*# to access the test mode.
Check the 'Sensor'
Enter the 'Light Sensor'
Check if the lux value got change from Level 1 to Level 3 or not under different brightness.
If not, I am afraid that your sensor is faulty.

Yes..lux value change from level 1 to 3 under different brightness condition..so the sensor is working..

Edit : Display auto brightness works.. wink.gif Case closed..

Ok. Will ask my friend to try this. Thanks.

Added on June 8, 2012, 9:24 pmI notice that automatic light change in ICS does not so obvious compare to GB.
But don't worry. The screen brightness actually changes.
