for now the best is the cm9 lp7 kernel.. there is another kernel called super kernel i think.. but u cant use it when ur on aosp rom such as cm9 , aokp or paranoid android rom....
if u wna save battery life..  use juice defender biggrin.gif

not from samsung tho but for sure in the xda community for sure there will be biggrin.gif
codeworkx dev for cyanogenmod said that they're currently working on creating a rom most likely a whole new cyanogen mod mayb cm10 @.@ fr the galaxy s2... theres already jellybean for g_nexus which uses dual core tiomap chipset.. i think will be there for the i9100 and also the i9100g running the same chipset as in g_nexus
*
that lp7 hacked kernel? "superics is another kernel (dev tht create superatmos / superrom)"

yeap lp7 hacked kernel... and yeap super_ics is my the same dev of superom biggrin.gif
currently theres no other kernels out there for i9100g... everyone seems to be using the normal cm9 kernel.. as for me moderate usage with calling, texting(whatsapp) and abit browsing (checking fb and twitter) can last me about 10-11hrs biggrin.gif
you could try turning down the brightness of your display... really helps alot ...

I bought S2 recently and installed it with Papago X5. The apps is able to start and but it is unable to lock to the satellite. The GPS icon keeps on blinking.

I am using ICS 4.0.3. Anyone face similar issue?
*
My papago had no problems lock in to satellite. Did you try to go to open area? As you know, inside building block satellite. Try Google map to make sure your gps okay. Is it genuine papago? I heard pirated ones very hard to connect to satellite

Been trying at open location with clear sky. Unable to lock to satellite even though been waiting for 15 mins.

At the same time, minimised papagox5 and launch google map. Google map is able to pinpoint my location.

Ahem version but been using it at HTC Wilffire previously.

Yeah, me too.
This is nonsense.
How Galaxy Nexus get the update when SII with better specifications (the same specs for G version) will not?
I say Samsung is forcing us to buy SIII. icon_idea.gif

Stable enough with good relative battery life?

I'm on XWLPG stock with speedmod atm. Very hard to find anything better than this atm.

Google map used data to pin point your location. Off data, and try launch Google map. You can install fasterfix or fastergps from market

no worries even with so call hardware limitations but xda developers will find a way to get s2 some if not all function in jb,hopefully lah..since to me s3 still aint better than s2 in functionlity sad.gif ...but the bigger point is s3 is still to pricey for me to buy..haha sweat.gif
